i am from holland where you can buy marijuana in coffeeshops
i am FREE to smoke it, WHY do you americans let the corrupt goverment put you in JAIL for this innocent plant??? we would absolutely fight a law that can put you in jail for smoking pot, this is MORE HARMFUL for the people than smoking pot itself. look at the facts.....
VOTE FOR RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT 2012 if you americans really want to feel FREE
Why all these repeat offenders? Maybe we need walk-in prisons ... you know, a place with all the amenities of prison, yet the inhabitants don't need to commit a crime and clog the courts in order to live there. Plus, they can leave anytime they wish.
The state can donate some land, some garden tools and vegetable seeds so they can grow their own food, and building supplies so they can build themselves simple shelters. And the community can donate them some acceptance and career training.
@DrunkenPoetic When you sound like a prohibitionist, it's hard to take you seriously when you say it should be legalized. Cannabis is not dangerous for everyone, only the idiots who drive when stoned or certain people with mental health issues. Responsible adults using cannabis in the privacy of their own home is not dangerous. With that said, it's obviously not for everyone, but I know we can agree that adults should not be imprisoned for choosing to use marijuana instead of alcohol, pills etc.
@DrunkenPoetic But cannabis isn't dangerous when being used responsibly, it especially helps people with certain medical conditions. When you come to the general consensus that marijuana is dangerous without acknowledging that it's the safest therapeutic drug in existence, you sound like a prohibitionist.
@franklindavid ugh..excuse me? Driving high isn't as bad as driving drunk. Trust me. Second of all, what does this have to do with driving? Should all people found texting or eating while driving be thrown into jail, to make it safe for us perfectly law abiding citizens? Last time I checked, drinking and driving is pretty ramped...why aren't those people in jail? Let's just toss everyone in jail*sarcasm*. God damn it...grow a fucking brain...
@franklindavid I looked around a bit, but did not find the part where Ron Paul said he wanted to legalize driving while high on marijuana. Mind pointing me to where he said that?
Thank god I live in a State where I can keep herb for personal use. It's nobodies fucking business what I put into my own body. I'm a full time college student, I work part time and I have my own car and apartment. If I want to come home everyday and vape some herb nobody should be able to tell me otherwise. I do not believe in a higher power, but if sin existed, persecution of nonviolent related drug charges would be one.
Damn Ron Paul, if only you weren't only spot on right about some of the issues, and batshit crazy about so many crucial others such as medicare, social security and others, I'd vote for you in a heart beat.
This is crazy. You guys in the US get arrested for a small stash of marijuana for personal use? I love your country guys, but something is definitely screwed up. This Ron Paul character seems quite reasonable on this issue.
@MrJahka except repeat offenders can be sentenced up to 20 years in some states even if all of there charges are less than an oz i saw documentary not to long ago where man in texas was doing 15 years for his third marijuana possession charge all of which were under 6 grams
@kris6682 You are absolutely right sir. I used to go to TX occasionally until I got in trouble twice for simple pot charges. I looked up the law and found out that yes, 3rd offenses no matter what can carry up to 20 years in jail. Fuck that state! Lolz.
@MrJahka Complete BS. In nearly every major state, marijuana posession is considered a serious offense by the common pig (police man). I live in Texas, and happen to know someone who is serving a 5 year sentence for his second conviction of marijuana posession.
ummm. Maybe Texas but I know in Missouri (not a state known for its liberal drugs laws) if you have under 35 grams or about 1.2 ounces it is a misdemeanor and unless you have a shitty lawyer you won't do jail time. I just googled and for Texas the rule is for less than 2 ounces Not more than 180 days in a county jail and/or a fine of not more than $2,000. So, i dont know how that works in practice but it sounds like a decent lawyer could easily get you off with a fine.
@TheAmazingAtheist this means you've changed your opinion about Ron Paul?
I'm not an American citizen and I'm not much up for counties whose being led by one person or who has a person in charge with a great amount of power- however it seems to me that this guy got more sense than anyone whose run for president, and if you can't change the current system, at least give this guy a chance- I mean, it can't get any worse now can it? ... :P
@SLAPnPOP726 he actually said "ya i would" then started "if if someone.." soo he actually did how about u pay attension aye? 0:29 is where he says it..
@SLAPnPOP726 ron isnt just going to be able to let everyone out but at least he even subscribes to the idea that it should be done. no other candidate speaks this way.
The government shouldn't stop people from being stupid. I say go ahead and teach kids the risks of taking drugs, and if they still do it, it's on them.
READ ME THEN COPY AND PASTE: This was actually very cool of him to say, but Rick Perry, Michelle Bachmann, Mitt Romney and those other crazy and/or incompetent candidates are NOT your only choices! They are only the candidates those rich assholes on Wall Street pay our whorish media to cover! If you care about your country and are dissatisfied with the current candidates, dig a little deeper to find the few who DO have common sense but are being hidden by people who only care about themselves!
Ron Paul is a mixed sort of guy with me :P I mean he's very pro-life and I am very pro-abortion. He's not against gay marriage but he gives the power to the state to decide...Tough. (I'm obviously liberal)
@AlienHeadTV Yea I kind of agree, but a vote for Ron Paul is a vote to end the Drug War which has been more damaging to America than every war since WW2 combined. Around 600,000 people in prison for drug crimes alone right now. He also wants to stop the Federal Reserve from handing out money to bankers that they never have to pay back. He is hands down the best option we have.
@Numbuh7@Numbuh7 Untrue, it would help the lower/middle class the most. Just one example would be releasing prisoners for non-violent drug-related 'crimes', which are majorly lower/middle class. This would get them out, they'd get a job (if there record is wiped clean) and return to their families and make a larger salary, giving the middle class the extra spending money they need to boost the economy and morale.
@DrunkenPoetic Actually he does believe in evolution, this was brought up in 2008, and he's mentioned it a few times since. Who cares what personal beliefs he may hold that differ from yours if he respects your individual liberty enough to not legislate his own morality?
@franklindavid ummm, because they haven't done anything to harm another person maybe. what makes you think someone should be in jail for a victimless crime?
@DrunkenPoetic Honestly, aren't all of the people running claiming to be religious? I don't think they would get enough votes if they weren't. It's pretty much choosing the lesser of all evils, and at least he wants to give innocent people their lives back.
@bobwantsyourspleen Yeah, at least he doesn't believe in separation of church and state. And it's a good thing his political agenda is set to roll us back 50 years.
the problem with our judicial system is u can buy ur way out of jail. Celebrities get caught with drugs go to rehab while regular citizens go to jail!!
I understand where he is coming from, but to put thousands of prisoners in this category is a little too much. I don't think I agree with this idea. To make marijuana legal is one thing, to take everyone out of jail that's in for it is a totally different situation.
I hate his economic policies, but on drug-related issues I completely agree with this guy. At least he seems to be fairly honest. If he wasn't, he wouldn't take positions that make him pretty much unelectable once election day comes around.
@jerman2003 That's not true; most are taken out of context. If anything he's anti-racist. His policies are BENEFICIAL to black people and minorities the most. He will end the war on drugs which is imprisoning hundreds of thousands of blacks a year. He's also stated he will pardon all non violent offenders, which will RELEASE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of blacks.
It's not like he said straight out "Yes all of these will be pardoned", he is dodging the question several times and only says "yes they should", notice how he consciously does not promise that they WILL be pardoned at all.
Ron Paul seems like a nice guy, he got some great policies, but he is batshitcrackpipe insane, his stance on economics, gay rights, abortion, religion etc. is too much.
@Davincidz Nice one; because you don't agree with some of his policies means he's insane? I disagree, it just makes you look arrogant and ignorant. His stances on economics? You mean cutting 1 trillions dollars for the budget by eliminating 5 over-regulating tyrannic cabinet departments is a bad stance of economics? His views of abortion and gay rights you say? He may not PERSONALLY agree with either of those things but he's not going to ban them; he's going to leave it for the STATES to decide.
@ALLDAYERRYDAYLEGIT he is indeed insane for denying evolution and basic science, he is insane to think that it is possible or even desirable to go back to a "gold standard", he is fucking insane for believing that the bible is the word of God, so yes he meets the requirements.... Letting states decide doesn't help shit, you can't leave such things up to a democratic vote. Reality does not answer to a democracy wtf
@Davincidz LMAO; are you kidding me? "You can't leave things to a democratic vote" Do you not realize that this is what happens in Congress? Nearly EVERYTHING in America is decided by democratic vote, while it may not always be the people's first choice it is nonetheless a vote. Also, the fact you can't even type a direct and coherent sentenced with even a decent vocabulary makes me wonder if you're even old enough to be on YT. His religious views should have nothing to do with his politics.
@Davincidz Firstly, Ron Paul does not deny evolution he simply states that their is not enough substantial proof to back up evolution or creationism. His religious views should have nothing to do with his politics. I rather have someone who according to you is 'insane' because he has a personal opinion than someone who can't even type a coherent sentence.
@ALLDAYERRYDAYLEGIT Not enough substantial proof to back up evolution? Are you serious? Has the man ever read a seventh grade textbook? Just you typing this sentence ensured he does not get my vote.
@Amocoru I think you'll find most people who have ever run for president are religious. The thing about Dr Paul is that he's always had a live & let live approach. He doesn't believe anyone has the right to pass a law enforcing their beliefs onto anyone else. And the Constitution is there to protect that. Not voting for someone based on what someone on the internet said doesn't really make sense to me. Take a look at his videos and do some research on things that he has personally said.
@Amocoru I do personally believe in evolution. It's also fine if Dr. Paul doesn't because that's freedom for you. Everybody's entitled to their opinion; his PERSONAL beliefs which he forces upon NOBODY should not cause you to not vote for him. Neither should some idiot over the internet. Nevertheless, his views of evolution will not and should not effect anything politically; y'know with Paul in office evolution will most likely be taught in schools as it will be left to states to decide.
@Amocoru Not hating on anything else Ron Pauls for (I don't know too much about his policies), but I gotta agree with this...If you think evolution doesn't have enough proof, then first of all, you're bunching up ALL type of evolution in one category. That means not only do you disbelieve in human evolution, but also geological. And also you basically refuse the idea that wolves evolved into dogs if you think evolution doesn't exist.
@Amocoru And second, you aren't very educated at all about it. If you think it doesn't have enough proof, then you probably only heard what you "know" about it from people who say that its about chimpanzees turning into man.
@ALLDAYERRYDAYLEGIT Although what he says is wrong (regarding the evidence behind evolution; evolution is a FACT), I do agree with you on that. Though I may disagree with him 60% of the time, he's the only politician that seems like he's not a lecherous parasite, and the only politician that actually believes in what he says. So, if I were able to vote, he'd definitely have mine. Unfortunately, I'm only 17. :'(
@ChangingTheSpectrum Evolution, while I believe in it, is a theory. It will never be considered a fact. There always be room for the retarded Christians to say you can't prove it, because you can't. That said Ron Paul is the best option for president because he actually believes in the constitution. Our Founding Fathers would flee the USA if they were alive today.
@MindofaJedi Nahh, dude. Look it up. Evolution is an actual fact now. How it works (or has worked) is still a theory, but the fact that evolution occurred is...well, a fact. Creationism is absolutely wrong, and has been proven to be so. That said, once again, I agree with you completely on Ron Paul. Even though I don't like his economic policy, or his stance on abortion, I feel he's the only politician that wants to do what's right.
@MindofaJedi Well, what is a fact and what is not? A fact can only be derived from what we perceive and what we can discover. Every theory we have every constructed has had a scientific structure and scientific proof. I think we could rule out all other possibilities of the origin of life, when they don't have proof. Or all theories (or rather hypothesis) when they do not have proof. That's the difference between creationists and evolutionists like you and me.
@MindofaJedi Excuse me, I didn't reply on the actual point of your comment, I rather commented on a small statement at the beginning of your comment. But yes, I think out of all of all the candidates Ron Paul is the superior. The rest are like crazy monkeys that will just put this country into more of a shithole. Although Ron Paul opposes the separation of church and state, and is a pro-life he will bring this country out the the hole we have buried for ourselves.
@NeeshyNeeshy but what about ron pauls income tax views, being that there should not be one. i think a flat rate for the income tax is better than the bracket system we have now.
@ALLDAYERRYDAYLEGIT Well the thing is there kinda (read definitely) is enough evidence (proof is the wrong word) to back up evolution. Whether the are religious or not doesn't mean much to me but if they have crazy ideas that come from that religion it does. Also the amount of power he wants to give the states over our lives just doesn't work for me.
@ALLDAYERRYDAYLEGIT Giving me more power yes, and every other nutjob who lives in my state, and let me tell you, there are a lot of crazy assholes here. At least the federal government has some checks and balances, it was created to be inefficient, it gives me enough time to get the f#$k outta town before the shit really hits the fan.
@VetinariClone He is NOT giving the states any more power than they have now. States right now can legalize marijuana if they want (and some states have) but Fed. Gov. cancels it out. What he will do is remove the FEDERAL law on Marijuana, Abortion and gay marriage and let the states decide if they want these things. Just look at Medical Marijuana for example; in California & Arizona state law says its legal, but Federal Law says its not. Although he will decriminalize drugs in general.
@VetinariClone "The amount of power he wants to give to states" You're joking right? Do you not realize that would give the government altogether LESS power by giving the states MORE power; therefore GIVING YOU MORE POWER. It is much easier to contact and persuade your state's government to adapt to your states needs than contact every member of congress and get them to do the right thing. Do you not realize Ron is all about Civil LIBERTIES, he's going to be ending gov. reg. on your life!
@AppleCoreCandyBox He is NOT giving the states any more power than they have now.
@ALLDAYERRYDAYLEGIT This is a bit off topic but I never quite understood this. If I met someone who believed woman should be treated as slaves, I could judge that person based on their beliefs and rightfully so. However, when it comes to juding someone for their religious beliefs, we seem to lose that capability. If you can't judge someone for what they believe, what can you judge someone for?
Maybe we should follow the words of mr. Batman. "It's not who you are, but what you DO that defines you". :) Basically judge people for their actions. My two cents.
Wow, that was a very, erm, down to earth point. I can honestly say in my short life I don't think I have ever heard a politician say something like this. I am in a semi sort of shock.
I might actually vote this year just to help him if he ends up on the ballot - I haven't bothered the past few since I was either voting for shit or poop.. irrelevance, that was.
@yushatak You NEED to find out when your states caucases/primaries are; so you can go out and vote for him in the primaries. The primaries are the most important thing right now for him. If you don't register republican and vote for the Dr. in the primaries then you risk having some dickweed like Romney on the ballot against Obama. We all know Ron would beat Obama, but you need to vote for him so he can beat the GOP.
I lawl at your description, but am shocked to hear that out of his mouth. I've heard some nasty views from him in the past, mostly from you, TJ, but he already was the best choice, and this single opinion is a sound economic recovery boost - heh.
Wow, when this guy starts looking like the good choice, you should realize you need more than 2 parties in your government. It's almost more about how BAD your opponent is, than it is about how GOOD the candidate actually is. The USA's politicians can get away with so much, just 'cause there's so little competition up top.
I just don't get the logic that it's ok to own a firearm but not ok to smoke something... I have nothing against people who own said firearms but do I really have to point out what I'm trying to say here?
Listing from body language he truly doesn't believe that nonviolent crimed should be pardoned. I'm no expert but up until that part what he said was truth
@pzxtw22 This man is more honest than any of the candidates by far. If this man is not elected than the U.S. should just burn their constitution. This man has it right. Many people in other countries see it. But do Americans?
do we really think the republicans care about or want to end the drug war? that is ridiculous. they think we will believe anything and they are right because every election year we hear the same old garbage. my thoughts on obama when he was running were if he does any of the things he is saying he will be the greatest president ever but that didnt happen so its just more of the same bull we are like mushrooms kept in the dark and fed shit. these freeloading politicians leach off us for life
he has been i congress for all of these years and hasnt changed shit just like the rest of them they only say what they think people want to hear until they get elected then its f**k off im gettin mine. they are all full of shit and its never gonna change
he has been i congress for all of these years and hasnt changed shit just like the rest of them they only say what they think people want to hear until they get elected then its fuck off im gettin mine. they are all full of shit and its never gonna change
No where in this video did he say he would, letting alone could, pardon "all non violent" drug offenders. He said he agreed that they should. Even if Ron Paul wanted to pardon them, he doesn't have the authority and if he did, that would make him a dictator. Paultards need to start paying attention to what he actually says.
ron paul is just as incompetent have you actually read his foreign policies im not a fan of isolationism or removing a shit load of goverment programs that actually help us so no. but i do like this aspect
lol omfg. i don't get people saying "ron paul doesn't have my vote yet". wtf. what other candidate might then? honestly? almost everyone running for president is an incompetent tool.ron paul wants to help YOU, the average joe. might not be the Messiah but sure is a hell of a lot better than everyone else running.
Ron Paul speaks with a voice of reason. It sounds like Obama and the other runners in this race are forever engaged in a game of political hand ball. Just smacking issues and solutions against the wall of the American people.
I LOVE THIS MAN.

They are only the candidates those rich assholes on Wall Street pay our whorish media to cover! If you care about your country and are dissatisfied with the current candidates, dig a little deeper to find the few who DO have common sense but are being hidden by people who only care about themselves!

@Numbuh7 @Numbuh7 Untrue, it would help the lower/middle class the most. Just one example would be releasing prisoners for non-violent drug-related 'crimes', which are majorly lower/middle class. This would get them out, they'd get a job (if there record is wiped clean) and return to their families and make a larger salary, giving the middle class the extra spending money they need to boost the economy and morale.

kickstartmyheart013 1 month ago
@jerman2003 That's not true; most are taken out of context. If anything he's anti-racist. His policies are BENEFICIAL to black people and minorities the most. He's also stated he will pardon all non violent offenders, which will RELEASE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of blacks.

Glad I'm in Norway:D
Davincidz 1 month ago
@Davincidz Nice one; because you don't agree with some of his policies means he's insane? I disagree, it just makes you look arrogant and ignorant. His stances on economics? You mean cutting 1 trillions dollars for the budget by eliminating 5 over-regulating tyrannic cabinet departments is a bad stance of economics? His views of abortion and gay rights you say? He may not PERSONALLY agree with either of those things but he's not going to ban them; he's going to leave it for the STATES to decide.
ALLDAYERRYDAYLEGIT 1 month ago 2
@ALLDAYERRYDAYLEGIT he is indeed insane for denying evolution and basic science, he is insane to think that it is possible or even desirable to go back to a "gold standard", he is fucking insane for believing that the bible is the word of God, so yes he meets the requirements.... Letting states decide doesn't help shit, you can't leave such things up to a democratic vote. Reality does not answer to a democracy wtf
Davincidz 1 month ago
@Davincidz LMAO; are you kidding me? "You can't leave things to a democratic vote" Do you not realize that this is what happens in Congress? Nearly EVERYTHING in America is decided by democratic vote, while it may not always be the people's first choice it is nonetheless a vote. Also, the fact you can't even type a direct and coherent sentenced with even a decent vocabulary makes me wonder if you're even old enough to be on YT. His religious views should have nothing to do with his politics.
ALLDAYERRYDAYLEGIT 1 month ago 2
@Davincidz Firstly, Ron Paul does not deny evolution he simply states that their is not enough substantial proof to back up evolution or creationism. His religious views should have nothing to do with his politics. I rather have someone who according to you is 'insane' because he has a personal opinion than someone who can't even type a coherent sentence.
ALLDAYERRYDAYLEGIT 1 month ago 18
@ALLDAYERRYDAYLEGIT Not enough substantial proof to back up evolution? Are you serious? Has the man ever read a seventh grade textbook? Just you typing this sentence ensured he does not get my vote.
Amocoru 1 month ago
@Amocoru I think you'll find most people who have ever run for president are religious. The thing about Dr Paul is that he's always had a live & let live approach. He doesn't believe anyone has the right to pass a law enforcing their beliefs onto anyone else. And the Constitution is there to protect that. Not voting for someone based on what someone on the internet said doesn't really make sense to me. Take a look at his videos and do some research on things that he has personally said.
kickstartmyheart013 1 month ago
@Amocoru I do personally believe in evolution. It's also fine if Dr. Paul doesn't because that's freedom for you. Everybody's entitled to their opinion; his PERSONAL beliefs which he forces upon NOBODY should not cause you to not vote for him. Neither should some idiot over the internet. Nevertheless, his views of evolution will not and should not effect anything politically; y'know with Paul in office evolution will most likely be taught in schools as it will be left to states to decide.
ALLDAYERRYDAYLEGIT 1 month ago
@Amocoru Not hating on anything else Ron Pauls for (I don't know too much about his policies), but I gotta agree with this...If you think evolution doesn't have enough proof, then first of all, you're bunching up ALL type of evolution in one category. That means not only do you disbelieve in human evolution, but also geological. And also you basically refuse the idea that wolves evolved into dogs if you think evolution doesn't exist.
glacialwaysz 1 month ago
@Amocoru And second, you aren't very educated at all about it. If you think it doesn't have enough proof, then you probably only heard what you "know" about it from people who say that its about chimpanzees turning into man.
glacialwaysz 1 month ago
@ALLDAYERRYDAYLEGIT Although what he says is wrong (regarding the evidence behind evolution; evolution is a FACT), I do agree with you on that. Though I may disagree with him 60% of the time, he's the only politician that seems like he's not a lecherous parasite, and the only politician that actually believes in what he says. So, if I were able to vote, he'd definitely have mine. Unfortunately, I'm only 17. :'(
ChangingTheSpectrum 1 month ago
@ChangingTheSpectrum Evolution, while I believe in it, is a theory. It will never be considered a fact. There always be room for the retarded Christians to say you can't prove it, because you can't. That said Ron Paul is the best option for president because he actually believes in the constitution. Our Founding Fathers would flee the USA if they were alive today.
MindofaJedi 1 month ago
@MindofaJedi Nahh, dude. Look it up. Evolution is an actual fact now. How it works (or has worked) is still a theory, but the fact that evolution occurred is...well, a fact. Creationism is absolutely wrong, and has been proven to be so. That said, once again, I agree with you completely on Ron Paul. Even though I don't like his economic policy, or his stance on abortion, I feel he's the only politician that wants to do what's right.
ChangingTheSpectrum 1 month ago
@MindofaJedi Well, what is a fact and what is not? A fact can only be derived from what we perceive and what we can discover. Every theory we have every constructed has had a scientific structure and scientific proof. I think we could rule out all other possibilities of the origin of life, when they don't have proof. Or all theories (or rather hypothesis) when they do not have proof. That's the difference between creationists and evolutionists like you and me.

AlphaWolf500 1 month ago
@ALLDAYERRYDAYLEGIT Well the thing is there kinda (read definitely) is enough evidence (proof is the wrong word) to back up evolution. Also the amount of power he wants to give the states over our lives just doesn't work for me.

ALLDAYERRYDAYLEGIT 1 month ago

@VetinariClone "The amount of power he wants to give to states" You're joking right? Do you not realize that would give the government altogether LESS power by giving the states MORE power; therefore GIVING YOU MORE POWER. It is much easier to contact and persuade your state's government to adapt to your states needs than contact every member of congress and get them to do the right thing. Do you not realize Ron is all about Civil LIBERTIES, he's going to be ending gov. reg. on your life!

@ALLDAYERRYDAYLEGIT This is a bit off topic but I never quite understood this.
