  • Daar gaan de belangrijke papieren? :D

  • Het waren gelukkig geen rekeningen hahahaha :P

  • Altijd maar slopen en rondkijken wat er verder te vernietigen is. Maar goed dat er geen toetsenbord voorhanden was!

  • Also, Grays have a tendency toward low calcium levels... she may need a vitamin with calcium. Love to Chara!!!

  • ahh cute check my home page

  • Thanks :D

  • Thanks :D

  • hahaha... LOL

  • she's working hard on that paper!

    'Workin' at the Carwash' lol

  • Chara has lived for 12 years in a cage with only a mirror, she pluckes out of bordom.. but that bordom is began a habit and that habit you must brake by doing lot of things with her

She had a poor diet but now she gets Harrisons

  • Cigarette smoke can cause plucking, as can certain metabolic problems, poor diet. Wild caught greys seem to have this problem more than captive bred also. It may not be just bordom. There's lots of reasons for pucking.

  • In the case of Chara it was bordom...she had no toys only a mirror in her cage for 12 years

Out of bordom became a habit.. now we must brake the habit by give her lots of diversion.

Her front is now full feathered...she was bold there

  • Poor Chara- she is very lucky to have found a great home now! It makes me happy to hear of a bird finding happiness after such a sad past, but sad to think there are still many bird out there being treated like Chara was before you got her because people don't understand the complex needs of being a parrot parent. Good for you and much love to Chara!!

  • Cause she is a plucker she needs lots of diversion and I give her by that lots of variasion of toys and take her everywhere with me

  • very beautiful

  • Thank you :)

  • Orfy, you are doing a great job with Chara! How is she doing now with the feather plucking? is it better? Does she bathe often?

  • Thank you very much :D

Plucking is not over in one night unfortanly, but she has on each wing a new feather fulgrown and for now she left them alone, so no cutting or destoying those ones

But, the plucking is still there, the tiney fear feather are the most feathers she plucks, al the rest she cuts.

And every time she lets her feathers stay longer untouched is a victorie!

Inportant is to give lots of things te do so she has no time to pluck hihi..

And yes... I bathe her every day :D

  • Thank you very much for the compliment :D

She has now 2 full grown feathers on each wing and for now she leaves these alone (fingers crossed)

And yes... she bathes every day

  • thank you :)

  • I recieved a parrot last year, who had also plucked out most of his front feathers. He's happier now, but it isn't easy to convince an unhappy Grey to cheer up. I hope your Parrots Self Esteem gets better, good luck! :)

  • Thank you very much, every time when she lets feathers stay on longer that's a step forward.

And in my eyes she is the beautifullest bird on the whole world, and that is what I tell her every day and she loves that compliment hihih

She is much happier than a year ago when she was locked up in a cage, no toys, sunflowerseeds, and 1 stick to sit on and that 12 years long :(

Now she has a playtree and goes only for the night in a small cage

  • Poor Chara must be BORED. I see she is a 'plucker" (her chest). Poor baby.......

  • Maybe, just maybe there is a warning before viewing this video bercause it doesn't make sense to a person unless they can rad German (Dutch , or which language is this?) What are you saying, what asre the comments saying? Gee TOO BAD I couldn't just look at the video and be MESMERIZED and intrigued and interested without knowing anoither language! Want to see an Africa Grey video? I have 5 parrot companions. Check out my parrot here on you tube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcGRy9h_DcA

  • Thank you...

I don't understand why my video about a parrot is been flagged as Inappropriate

So far I understand they promise to review each and every submission within 24-48 hours.

So I wait and see hahaha

  • your grey is very cute, and the video is great. but for some reason it's marked as inappropriate. i don't understand why. and i hope there is some way to undo that.

  • What is the point? Are you kidding? It's cute! Mine loves to do the same thing with paper! Your grey is adorable.

  • Thank you :)

  • what is the point of this vid?????

  • Chara is very insecure and have a lowe selfasteam

Under de peace of paper is lying something and therefore she stands some unstable but she mannige it :D

This is a huge step for her

And that's the point of this video

  • I'm sorry... but what do you meen by that comment

  • No - but my ancestors were Dutch - my maiden name is Marker.

  • Chara will be unbalanced as long as you keep one wing with long flight feathers. My grey has one wing that is damaged and I used to let the other wing grow the flight feathers, but that just made the problem worse. When I started keeping his good wing clipped, he had better balance and even started to grow some flight feathers on his bad wing. I don't know but this is just an idea for you if it applies to Chara.

    Are you Dutch? Candi

  • Yes I'm dutch

    Are you????

  • well atleast it wasnt the romote control like mine ate

  • hope thts not home work lol
