he should of chaing mind control to heavy. then chain the crush card to mind control. that way it plays in reverse. he sees his the opponents hand with crush card, then mind control kicks in he calls monster reborn and the whole duel would have gone to the guy that lost.
Thats not how it works. The rulings on mind crush state that you have to name the card when you activate mind crush, not when it resolves. Thats why he didnt activate it.
yea that would of worked, especially since he had mind crush down too. usually a the player with a crush face down waits til the summon ofr even the battle phase that way the normal summon is gone with the field clean of high attackers the small attackers at hand. but yes in his position he should expect heavy and should played crush in the standby phase, that would of given him the win. i def learned something today.

i would've just crushed during the standby phase and wait for the op to heavy.
