  • Fascinating to see! My uncle raised chickens, too. Don't throw away the feet - that's a delicacy in Mexico believe it or not. They fry them. I never learned how to eat the gizzard and heart, but I love the liver. Question: once you freed the abdominal cavity, you could have just broken the back right by bending it back? That's what I do with my store bought whole chickens. That way you wouldn't worry about feces, etc. I never eat the backs.

  • I cant seem to find part one

  • Yeh i wouldent be eating that chicken..WTF laying it on the grass and contaminating it..Fuck that...

Cutting board and a clean ( SHARP ) knife is the only way to do it. Rolling it on the grass like that is just contaminating it. Also i set up a pedastal fan on my butchering area. This keeps the flies away.

  • Man, you guys got the butchering all wrong. You should flash the chickens in very hot water to sterilize and prep the chickens for removing the feathers. By handling the chicken like that, you just contaminated the meat because there are feces in the feathers.

  • YASMENA

  • the "anus" is actually called the cloaca and is the one use hole so to speak, they poop and pee and mate and lay eggs through the same hole and the cool part about the chicken litter is that the white part is the urine that has crystalized (bc birds are very efficient at water absorption) and the dark color is the feces
