Shawn Michaels is a legend at what he did and his career was a great despite the fact that he was out for 4 years and was only a 4x World Champion. His retirement, though saddening is probably the best thing for him 'cause he's got other commitments ie a family to look after but I kinda wish he coulda stayed a little while longer or had one more world title reign.

I grew up watching both Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker but I would rather see the streak end then see a career like Shawns end he is my all time favourite wrestler and half of my favourite matches include him, he is one of the very best in the business, he is excellent on the mic and also funny as hell.

Before his back injury in 98 he in my eyes was already on his way to the Hall of Fame seen he was the first grand slam winner.

I haven't read Shawn's book, but I've read Bret's and he talks about Shawn's drug abuse and depression. However, he overcame those problems, got married, had kids, return to wrestling, and most of all, God! Shawn may have had a rough beginning, but he's prevailed. To me, it's not as sad as others-- it's more a happy, successful story. I am happy for him.
