i wonder why they kinda stopped making the music in this cheesy kind of heavy metal music. I never got into AC3 because of it's sudden change in music. I liked AC4, it was good, but not as heavy. Have yet to play 5 and 6

AC3 was a drastically different direction, and because of that, it needed it's own unique style of music to fit it. I personally like AC3 the most, as it's easily the most original of the series, and the design is superb in the Japanese version.  I love it's music just like I love the music in the other AC games. Problem is that AC5/0/6 and X are kind of forgettable especially since I played those no where near as much as I played Air Combat, AC3 and AC4. I didn't get AC2 until a 1.5 yrs ago

I had the same thing, i recently tried to give ac3 another chance, but i didn't even pass the 1st mission, there was something wrong with the controls and there was basically no music.

5 and 6 have kind of an orchestral version, Ace Combat X has Synth music like AC3, but there is always AC7 to look forward too.

I remember this track from just 'Tin Castle' but 'Dark Star' as well. The Death Rave 2000 trio of EF-2000's were brazen badasses! I loved the color scheme they had with the orange fading into deep purple. Sweet.

all ACs are set in the same world. I think that Osea is based out of the world gov't thats in this game, and Belka is the coup's remnants or something. Would explain them having the ADF for the Z.O.E pilot.

Ace Combat 2, 3 and 4 all take place on the other side of the world on the Usean Continent. In Ace Combat 2 a Coup Detat known as the Usean Rebellion occurs. the coup forces get ahold of belkan technology to fight the STFS Scarface.
