We have 3 adorable cavies and they are ALL brilliant. Our one though is more of a marshmallow diva, while the other 2 are more driven for dogsports.

We had 2 others years ago and they were equally awesome.

I have a cavalier, he's a year and a half. And he is the most intelligent dog I've ever had. He waits for me to put his food dish down, he knows how to get my attention if he needs to go out. And he is a huge snoring cuddle bug!

I used to have a Tri, but he died on september 8. We had to put him down because of his heart problems.. :(

We're now looking for a puppy of the same breed though. Once you've had a Cavalier, you're addicted!

@skata555 I know this is a bit late, but yes, Cavs do okay in apartments-- but they DO need moderate daily exercise (they need to be WALKED, not just taken out on the front lawn). They also have a strong chasing instinct, so leashes are a must.

A dog is as only as clever as its owner! What you put in is what you get out of a dog. All dogs can be trained its the owners that dont put the committment into the dog, there is no such thing as a stupid dog just stupid owners! Sorry but your comment really got my back up!

@therisingstar0mol Not very clever???? Are you kidding me?? They are extremely intelligent. They remember everything, my dog has learned a few tricks and she's only 6 months old. My mum has bad knees and she knows NOT to jump up at her, only to other people.

@jackoandjack Please tell me you haven't bought one yet, and please look up all you need to know, or your puppy might have to be given up because you don't know enough about it. And make sure you don't buy from a BYB or a puppy farm, look up which breed will suit your lifestyle best, living conditions, and their requirements. Because of their coats they need brushing every day, I know all this stuff because I've been looking them up since Jacuary, and I still don't know enough, please think x

@Chick8111 you can still get a dog even if you have 2 kittens i used to have 3 cats 3 dogs 2 guinea pigs and a pony but now i have a puppy 2 cats and a guinea pig and cats get along fine with dogs it just takes like a week to get used to them and then their fine its mostly the cat unsure of the dog cos when i got my first dog my cat chased it round the garden but after a few days it was fine
