it has turned into a love story. Brendan killed Danny to protect steven. Also he broke up with him so that he would be safe but you can see he really loves him. I hope these two will be allowed to be together.
The colouring in this is beautiful and you did a great job in this video! I totally understand where you're coming from with your feelings about the storyline! I seem to have the "I want everyone to be happy" syndrome but ultimately I don't think they'll end up together anyway, but hopefully Brendan will learn something from it and Ste will find someone that makes him happy. I also have the problem that I always end up loving the psychos on TV - WTF self :S :D. x

Think we have to think about here is this storyline in Hollyoaks does happen in real life and that is what they are trying to highlight.Both Actors here are putting in a real and emotional and very raw proformance which has helped us understand what both of thier charecters are going through.Brendan maybbe mixed-up and unsure about who he is which gets him bitter and angry and fraustrated and ends up rightly or wrongly taking it out on Ste.But deep down I feel Brenden does love Ste.
@angel22angel I do agree. I gotta give props to both Kieron and Emmett as I think they've been amazing so far with this storyline. Brendan definitely has a lot to work through and I just hope the show will focus on that.

I don't even watch this show, but from what I heard, I had a feeling it'd turn into a love story with them. :( I'd have watched Youtube clips if it'd been about a victim turning into a survivor and being able to find real love somewhere else and overcoming it all with strength and dignity. But regardless, your videos are always wonderful and I enjoy watching them (I'm a lurker by nature, so I don't comment often, sorry). Plus, I love this song. Brilliant job!
@karmicpayback I'm pretty sure that's the storyline they were originally going to tell. I'm sad they backed out of it, especially since they promoted it as that and also said that it would have a positive outcome for Ste and ultimately help those going through the same thing. That's the storyline I wanted to see, not the victim falling in love with the person who abused them. :(((
@oktoberskies I hate that about media. They like to, in the end, romanticize abuse. Make it a big love story to draw people in. He's awful and mean, but in the end, it's true love. Bleh. It doesn't happen like that. *sigh* I'm just disappointed; I had high hopes for this storyline when I heard about it and was hoping it'd bring awareness to gay domestic abuse without a romantic angle in the long run.
