  • This kills me. It really does.

  • the poem came long before "The Catcher In The Rye"

  • Holden would call this phony.

    PHONY!!!

  • @Danerd9

    lol

    Holden's twirling

  • great book, one of my favorites! I want to catch all the bodies. :]

  • Thank you! Glad to be of service. :)

  • 難しそうだね!がんばって!

  • beautiful sound! very moving.

  • Thank you! :)

  • well played, is it possible you could write the progression of notes you played. I'd love to tab this out for guitar, I've started but I'm having trouble picking it up when you play the faster parts

  • I'm glad you liked it. :) You should be able to find the music for this somewhere on the net, as it's a fairly well-known piece, and unlike a lot of my videos, I don't do much improvising this time around. (*A quick google image search on 'Comin thro the rye' right now brought 4 images of sheet music on the first page of results.)

  • ok thank you very much!

  • I like this very much.

You should read 'The Catcher in the Rye'. :)

  • Hmmmmm.... I might have that somewhere around.

Glad you liked the song! :)

  • If a body meet a body,

    Comin' throught the rye,

[Two next lines made up by me:

If you dare to touch my body,I will black your eye.]

    Every lassie has her laddie,

    Naine they say hae I,

But all the lads they smile at me,

    While comin' through the rye.

  • Don't worry; I'm thousands of miles away! :P (*There are more, um, 'ribald' versions of this and other Burns lyrics. I once had the opportunity to buy a book of these alternate lyrics, but I passed it up, which I now kind of regret.)

  • can a body F-ck a body?

    coming through the rye

    can body meet a body?

    coming through the rye?

  • Yes, lyrics like that!

  • that was originally the idea. All the workers used to lie in the rye field and make love.

  • Hmm... Truly fascinating. So it's an old scottish song? Cool. ^^ I think I'm starting to get obseesed with it now, just because I recetly read the book" The Catcher in the Rye" Which it's title corrolates to this old song. I've never heard it before, but it sounds really good. I'm going to see I f I can find Lyrics to it. Great job, you have real talent.

  • Thank you very much! :) I've never read 'Catcher in the Rye', but the lyrics for this song are by Robert Burns; you shouldn't have too much trouble finding them on-line somewhere.

  • Very, very nice. A good old Scottish song and you play it very well.

  • Thank you very much! :)
