  • Holy Shit

  • Very metal.

  • No way Adam Lambert can sing like this.

  • great band ever, every gig different performance, just amazing.

  • this gong is irresistible

  • eventide harmonizer rocks!!!!

  • Queen were so FKN awesome in Their Day !!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for the inspiration !!!

  • Jesus!! This song gives me goosebumps and the shivers all over my body!

  • Il bello è che chitarra voce basso e batteria rimangono fedeli alla versione da studio, nonostante questo sia un live... Sono grandi :)

  • I really don't get how this is racist, seeing as how it IS true... Do some research, dude.

And European men are white... What else are you supposed to call them? "European Man" would not exactly make as good a song, either, would it...?

  • one of the best songs

  • Pure craftsmanship musically, lyrically and performance, when REAL bands ruled the world !No wonder rock music will NEVER die as it,s the last bastion of people who can play and entertain, every parent should buy their kids a guitar and make them listen to music from this era!!Sorry, rant over!

  • A bit racist, catchy though

  • @FAMEROB how? It's a song about the native american's struggles to survive after the arrival of the European white men, who slaughtered them unmercifully.

  • @MrMAHBOI1 the generalization is racist

  • @FAMEROB well IMO they kind of had to generalize, it's a song, it's not supposed to last for hours.. And anyway it's not that far from the truth

Plus, it was Brian May who wrote this great, great song

    =)

  • @MeddowsB yeah true

  • @FAMEROB how is this song racist because its about white man okay what if its black man black man is it still racist

  • I'm dying a little every time i hear this intro

  • I saw them that year, Thin Lizzy was the opening act, great show

  • hard rock yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • read abt this song on wikki,. and please stfu. u make smthin like this...

  • Freddie Mercury didn't die from AIDS. Pure Epicness just consumed his body.

  • мощно.

  • i read this was about those guys in the french revoultion or somthin like that

  • But Freddie didn't write this song. Brian did, and he's a "White European".

  • @CentraCross I realize that Brian wrote it. I was replying to someone who said Freddie was "selling out his race" by singing this song.

  • zajebista muzyka !!!!!

  • 1:51 listen to this small part a couple of times

  • Great inspiration for Maiden's run to hills

  • A great hard rock song for the native americans. It speaks the truth. Thank u Queen.

  • A great queen song in a temporary shadow.

  • @shon363 Race??? Isn´t it quite in the need of being just a little reflective of what people with somewhat paler skin has done throughout history? Whether you´re tall or short or just plain different (or not for that matter) shouldn´t be in the way for such thoughts. All cred to Freddie.

  • @shon363 sorry to tell you this but this song is about how the indians(technically) are telling a story about the europeans(the white man) taking over, its not about them degrading their race.... ever hear of this in social studies? no? GO BACK TO SCHOOL THEN!

  • I think the ironic thing about shon363's narrow-minded comment is many people don't even realize Freddie Mercury was not a "white European". Both of his parents were from Iran, he was born in Africa, and he grew up going to a British boarding school in India. So even though Iranian's are racially Caucasians he's not really a "white man" anyway.

    @shon363

  • @kyropter Freddie got nothing to do with this song, it was wrote by Brian and its about Native Americans at the hands of European immigrants, read on wikki. :)

  • @haladilnikas I know it was written by Brian - and if you actually bothered to read the post I was replying too then you would realize what I was talking about. And no one needs to "read about the song on Wikki" to know what the song is about. I can actually listen to the lyrics and figure it out just fine. Anyone who needs to have this song explained to them has no imagination and has no soul.

  • shut your eyes and listen...

    pure

  • Freddie at his best!! Great song, great video! Thanx for posting it!!

  • Freddie, havent you looked in the mirror? isn't it a white man [or woman no offense] looking back at you? i still love you !sexy! too bad he liked to get it not give it :((

  • lmao @ 2:44 wtf is that...i've seen Bri do that before ... and im like um what is this

  • @sara1893 Brian means "look, no hands!", he doesn't strum but you hear the echo on his guitar sound.

  • The difference between Queen and the supposed " better " bands of the 70's such as The Who and Led Zeppelin: Queen NEVER stopped making great music.

  • I have to say... if you ask me who were some of the best improv rock vocalists of all time, I would say Mike Patton and Freddie! Bands who write music for music's sake are rare... Queen are the tops for destroying the boundaries. Heaviness was in their soul... but few dared to blur the lines the way they did!

  • @mikk889 If it speaks the truth than its anti! LOL!

  • i want to buy this son or have it for an mp3 what can i do. i love queen live but i cant find too much of them for audio

  • 3:17 the precision in his tone is just....AHH!!! i'm obsessed with this performance.

  • freddie in he's best shape!!! he uses the mic cable as a whip...

  • And then they played apartheid South Africa!

Roger - was it worth the money?

    Brian, would you change it?

John, are you ashamed of supporting Botha?

Freddie - your legacy is tainted - were you badly advised? -say a prayer for your race

  • @grahambigvan they didn't support anything, they simply gave people music

  • what does brian do at 2:44?

Is he mad with his permormance?

  • @mmp11 i think he is just showing that he is using delays...."look mom! no hands!" haha!

  • he is saying something to the stage technician, some kind of sing, maybe to use channel five or somehting.... usually when you do those kind of things on stage you are really upset as brian's face shows. Brian use to complain about the sound on stage, check some chicago concert in 80 where he is really pissed off ( in the sutil english way) about the design of the stadium

  • 2:44 YES.

  • uuh yeaah

  • The tone coming out of Brian May's guitar is unbelievable. I love the sounds they get together here when the guitar, bass, bass drum and crash cymbal hit together.

  • he's the tone master

  • One of the best Queen songs!!

  • You are obviously a fool as well. Don't you people ever know when it's time to shut that cock holster you call a mouth and just go away?

If you can't spell properly it's usually a sign of lower intelligence. Being that you are on the internet you can look up any word you aren't sure about in a flash.

Start doing that please because you are pretty pathetic.

  • just like your mother...i mean look at you and your spelling

  • @galius1 I know it's a year ago, but dude, you really saw this show in 77? this must have been... like... life changing? no?

  • this is hard rock motherfuckeeers!!

    Queen forever!!!

  • I think that the 70's are great!

    they totaly rule!

  • Guitar riff from hell! Top guitar playing!

  • They Rock and smoke most "heavy" bands out there. Brian May is HUGE!

  • one of my favorite songs...although he's a little behind int he times as far as political songs haha. totally badass though. queen just always did everything over the top and completely pulled it off successfully

  • A real gem...

  • WAS?! He IS!

  • anyone know where i can download this song from??

  • Search for "Queen - A Day at the Races" at The Pirate Bay. I think you can find it at all places where you can download things! And in all shops! The album is great, but the song is not so great.

  • You got me there. I wouldn't be too surprised if that was the case though. =]

  • Yeah, that's true. Brian has a degree in Physics and Maths, and recently he got is PhG in Astronomy. That's why their new album is called the Cosmos Rocks, Brian loves space stuff.

  • all i'm saying is DON'T DISS THE METAL

  • queen were a heavy metal band in the 70's deacon just standing there had nothing to do with that that comment made no sense and fuck you sslayerr

  • speaks of the true history between white men and the native indians

  • Not only that, dude. It's about the central bank conspiracy. Musicians seem to be the most educated people on earth for some reason. Well at least those four are university graduates (or something like that - they studied music I think). Fucking awesome!!!

  • Yup they all graduated. Freddie got a degree in Graphic Design, Brian gota dregree in astronomy and now got a Doctorate, Roger got a degree in biology and John got one in Computer technology or something like that.

  • Yeah, thanks for clearing that up :)

  • No problem! The Queene boys were all smarty pants. =)

  • Freddie and Queen are the greatest. Goosebumps man..

  • Brillant performance!!!

  • This is MIMED! Playback.

  • look at deacon - what a fantastic bass player - never looks to be working hard just sits on the beat and delivers thumping bass. his newly cropped hair too - deacon kept queen on their toes and stopped them from becoming another heavy metal band

  • That was a major mistake.

  • no it wasnt. queen had to evolve - heavy rock wasnt enough for their much broader abilities as songwriters and musicians. The Game is a fantastic album and dare i say it, hot space is criminally underrated and pre-empted the funk rock genre of extreme, the chili peppers and run dmc aerosmith by years!

  • what the bleep is Kill Nightmare? somewhere in the states? or something you just made up?

I saw queen twice in 82 and deacon played brilliantly as ever. what do you know about bass playing anyway. jackshit! deacon is as good as mcartney, entwhistle, john paul jones and wyman.

  • Comment removed

  • Oh yes a really bad bass player:

    watch?v=b0t9P6U4jN8&fmt=18

XD XD XD XD Nice Joke Pink.

  • dont talk shit

  • Don't you like the '70's?! And the '95 album Made in Heaven?!

  • The playback-comment was a joke! A JOKE!

  • It was a joke!! Don't you think it's funny?! I know that this is live!

  • run to the hills a happy song?! hell no its about killing native americans and shit

  • Best version of this song ever!

  • "On the bible you swore, fought your battle with lies"

    it still rings true today...

  • To think that this after fantastic tracks like this we got treated to run of the mill average pop rock in the 80's - and whatever Hot Space was all about! lol

  • great song

  • NO!

  • best band in the rock histoty...thsi song kick ass!!!

  • this was when queen was great after the 70's i'm sorry to say but queen were never that good anymore later on in the 80's the would leave alot of songs like this one off the set list,

  • that's because they had better songs to play. i wouldn't say 80s queen wasn't good, it was. they were just not as energetic because they weren't as young

  • well that's your opinion & as for me i enjoyed them at their best in the 70's & besides i saw them live albeit once during the jazz tour have you ever seen them live?

  • Although I a;so loved their 1970's sound the best but I grew up in the 1980's and Queen is my favorite band of all time. SoI will say nothing but good about their music no matter what.

  • Really? So why I love their first and second albums so much, he? Tell me. Just please tell me!

  • first of all who the hell are you & where did you come from - i don't even remember saying anything to you at all i made these comments a month ago... your a little bit late my friend take care!

  • Totally agree ogrebattle, their 80's output largely stank - I've just about made a single cd from all their 80's albums and it's still 50% pants - and I love Queen, but was saddened when they lost their spark and originality in the 80's.

  • YES! They was best in th period 1973-1977!

  • what? common man u can't be serious. cuz they weren't young anymore, no because they just didn't write or play the same style of music anymore, well thats my opinion & i liked old queen better.... your allowed yours like the rest of us..

  • Actually Queen were always good but Freddie had gotten very sick as he got older so the shows were still very energetic but they stopped in 1986 but they never really stopped performing even Freddie performed all the way till he died in 1991 from Aids related complications. But their music had never stopped being good.

  • My faourite is the '70's, but Made in Heaven is GREAT!

  • The delays had already started =) He does it to sort of emphasise the point that it rocks....and it does!

  • outstanding video hails to queen live 74 for this slice of 70's classic rock n roll... white man the best & heaviest queen song ever...

  • Stone Cold Crazy and Sheer Heart Attack are very heavy songs as well. Are you sure that this one is heavier than those two? I'm not sure about that one. I think Stone Cold Crazy and Sheer Heart Attack are even heavier than White Man is.

  • well thats my opinion man you may not think so & hey i respect that but i think this song pretty much has it all, heavy blues, lyrics, guitar playing is great freddy's vocals hit it, it's got a great feel, those other songs are good to don't get me wrong but this is my favorite, this one & brighton rock..

  • Oooh with you on that one, my friend. =)

  • this is by far to me any way the best queen song ever done yes there are plenty of others but none that are more heavier or more heart felt then "white man" & yes indeed brain may did in fact write this song... this is the best!!!! long live queen!

  • Though I value all four members the same....I have to admit that Brian - sorry - Dr. May wrote some of my favourite songs...this rocks! And what he does with his hand at 2:44!

  • That is what makes him much cooler than you or I.

  • he is way cooler than any of us. he's such an awesome guitarist that i can almost forgive him for that horrid Britney Spears/Pink/Beyonce version of we will rock you, which was his idea

  • britney sucks! queen 4ever

  • yea she may suck but i'd still give her a bangin she'd never forget...lol

  • An underated song, thanks.

  • I luuv this song thanks heaps! freddie rocks
