  • obama is a sellout. I should have never voted for him. he is surrounding himself by whites, even republicans. He is the whites man puppet. Nigga you are crazy to think whitey loves you.

  • Malcom X and Marcus Garvey and other strong black men are right when it comes to Blacks living in America is that we will get justice by any means necessary and the chickens have come home to roost and America was stolen from the natives and worked by the blacks.

  • "Rev." Wright is not a good Christian. He preaches hatred, racial separation, etc. He had an adulterous affair with Elizabeth Payne (white) from Dallas earlier this year. And, he's building a 10k sq. ft home in affluent Tinley Park. No, preaching anger & hatred to poor blacks is very profitable. Other examples: Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton. Bill Cosby is the real leader in the black cmmty!

  • What I'd like to see is Obama's CERTIFIED BIRTH CERTIFICATE?

  • Obama was so "outraged" after the comments Wright made -- yeah, after he dissed Obama. Obama is a very dangerous, hateful, racist man. What are Americans thinking for buying into his bullcrap? Do your homework people --he has far more negative affiliations and doings than ANY presidential candidate who has ever run! He is evil!

  • Wright was 100% right!

  • you must of gotten fried chicken from wright to say that . dumb nigga

  • wright was right

  • Honest it is because i'm sleepy!! Yo DonSimon-Q: how would you direct someone (like me) to initiate the "voicing of concerns" sort of speak...I mean-I agree things need to change-BUT HOW AND WHERE DO WE THE PEOPLE START?-without being "tagged"..huh emm...!

  • IDEA: i didnt make it very clear what the idea was...duh....idea: communication channelled thru an open "commenting" style type forum such as this one...everyone's comment/q/suggestion is posted and permanently visible to all; no registration (maybe!) required; etc. etc....

    Just an Idea!!!!

  • Great comments, everyone! I'm enjoying the diverse points of view and the respectful manner of communication. IDEA:Communication between us and them (American People and Government) (of course it is just a fundamental idea- maybe simply complicated)-Because i for one have really absorbed a lot of info.-albeit diverse-and wish we had more answers and accountability from the gov.

  • How worse can obama's "judgement" be than that of bush's on the war which took thousands of lives and still people are being slaughtered. Why don't you people just admit that some of you are just threatened by the fact that a black man can possibly become president of a country which has always been dominated by whites. I think that some of you who are hiding behind this foolish wright controversy already know that your bias has absolutely nothing to so with obama's judgement it goes alot deeper

  • The question is "Why is Hillary Clinton not leading by 30 points"

  • Hillary would be if you count all the states of the USA. Also Obama only won cacuses and black states. Cacuses won't win the general election, most of thoses states will go Republican and always have been.Hillary gets the votes when it is an election, like you will see in Nov.

  • By the way Rev. Wright knew the Clintons before Senator Obama. History will prove that the Clintons are behind Rev. Wright's statement.

  • Obama supporters can spell and punctuate.

  • Yeah, but can they swim? (hope you see the difference between racism and stereotype)

  • People of N. Carolina and Indiana, please read

Democrats want this issue both ways. When Mayor Giuliani was running for prez, he had lived with a gay man. You demos had a field day with that.

Obama sat in the pews with wright for 20 years, now you say that doesn't matter, what a crock of shit from the demos.

Also demos r going wild because Hagee indorsed McCain and that does matter.

I'm a demo and u guys r making us all look very bad. We can't have it both ways

    Jake Sunrider

  • test one two three

  • Welcome to America when you talk about racism and injustices in the Black Community you get attacked by death threats and BOMBS. Isn't that TERRORISM? Didn't he just talk about acts of TERRORISM? Why isn't the Feds looking into this case? Or the CIA working on this to find out where the Terrorist are?

  • @DonSimonBolivar you mean like tulsa oklahoma

  • Free Puerto Rico, Free Hawaii we do not need military bases on our homelands. The U.S. is an imperialist monster who uses these small nations for military reasons. The people of these nations have a right to sovereignty. Free Puerto Rico! !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Basically what this means is more wars and more blood shed. Nothing New. Both want to attack Iran. Hillary is worst than the two becuase she is a republican at heart. She is in the wrong party. McCain forget about it. And remember what happen in Florida with the black vote? The shit wasn't counted for because some names where similar to felons. So that disenfranchise comes from the lack of legitimacy in the American Ballot. What did Malcolm X and Martin Luther King stand for? 21 century ...

  • Black people still singing we shall overcome. Sean Bell injustice with police brutality. Free Guam get those colonial bastards out of that land. Those people have the right to a sovereign nation. Get those fake politicians out. Free Puerto Rico, Free Hawaii, Free the Native American Land!

  • Also the ballot in New Hampshire was stolen. Its been reported that Ron Paul had votes but where not counted for. And the ballot machines are old and not every state is up to date on them. Also the Ballot in America has had the same families running the white house. So come on people! NOW THE GOT SUPER DELEGATES THAT STEAL A PARTIES PICKIN!

  • fuck capital hill, as thick as thieves. obama is no different. he talks about change! hitler talked about change too! fuck them all mccain is a sac of shit don't get me wrong so is hillary. we have no choice i realize that. mccain is going to win trust me. america is to apathetic and ignorant to really know our foreign policy, history or indoctrination. just move the fuck on. we can live in countries that respect international law and care about human rights.

  • who is running for president? Obama or Wright?

what the heck, how can someone be judged on the bases of somebody elses believes?

  • I am SO TIRED of America.... will we as a society EVER grow up from all our many trite issues... spins ... bigotry ... religious fascism ..homophobia..racism ..??? Europe simply laughs at us

  • Sooooooo, tired of this NON-ISSUE.

  • That's why we have separation of church and state. Because the prism by which the religious view our nation is a lot different from that of the politicians.

  • but we're not supposed to see America more than one way. There aren't 3 4 o 5 different versions of history, maybe not so heroic, not so pristine and perfect, but we're not supposed to think about our own alternative Histories where we cut babies out of pregnant indian mothers, and cut off black men's genitals to help destroy the community.

  • There shouldn't be different versions of history, but history is told by the 'winners'. Dead people don't get to tell their story very often.

  • why U.S govt dump mad cows into South Korea?

    this is UNFAIR FTA

SEE MY VIDEO AND SPREAD IT THANK YOU

  • religion and politics promote hatred amongst people...we need to be guided by science, reason and rationality..none of which is in the above

  • isnt it funny how obama talks about fundemental change in washington, when Ron Paul is actually doing it?

  • racist.....blatantly racist

  • Agreed. Separation of church and state. I do think that Rev. Wright has an important message to tell us (apart from Obama and the campaign). His America is very different than the one that I grew up in. Let's listen and learn about our different heritages. That's why the U.S. is the red, white, and blue.. not the red or white or blue.

  • in fact you have two types of flags, but now you're using the one designated for times of war and government to use, you had a civil flag from the beggining, but making the war one cheaper made you forgot the original one..... i bet you didn't knew that... don't fall on cognitive dissonance, do some research it's right there. thanks

  • While there is a debate about the existence of a 'civil' flag, my point still stands as both flags have red, white, and blue. We should embrace our different religions, races, and cultures. Grow together instead of letting the powers that be use fear to keep us from uniting. The quick judgment to brand Wright a racist shows that many still do not even attempt to understand his background and knowledge. United we stand, divided we fall.

  • Why don't you tell us what Rev Wright and Obama stand for? You want us to beleive something that is not true so back it up with facts. Did you watch Greta Van Sestern last night? That tells alot about Michelle and Barack Obama. Their ties to other terrorists as friends. I question their ability to have good judgement on anything that would affect my life, or any childrens lives.

  • First, from my original comment: "Agreed. Separation of church and state." I do not support or endorse Obama. His campaign is separate from Rev. Wright.

I speak out for Mr. Wright because he is a man of the church who grew up in a time period much different than my own. He speaks the harsh truth, including facts about gov't sponsored genocide. Len Horowitz proved that in his book.

Please continue to question our candidates 'judgments'. Listen, and learn. Unite, or fall.

  • since I keep my religion seperate from my politics, I wish the media wouild do the same!....you bombed on this one Realnews!

  • there can not be a sep from morals and politics...where would ethics be then???

  • with man....man made religion, not the other way round....a good man is not necessarily a religeous man....you made a good point.

  • @hajqbvii you know what they are really saying nigger be quiet

  • obama is a tool, 911 was a cruel joke.

  • Please stop talking about strategy. I watch TRN because they focus on real issues and not politics opera.

I don't care about who said what.

  • Paul Jay keeps repeating the word "fundamental": "Fundamental differences..." "...fundamental ideas..." "...fundamental assumptions..."

Big news: Obama is NOT a Fundamentalist.

Rev. Wright is NOT a Fumdamentalist preacher.

Trinty United Church of Christ is NOT a Fundamentalist church!

Church of Christ congregates are not expected to blindly follow the dogma of their pastors.

What this controversy represents is an exaggeration of the role of Religion in American Politics.

  • Do we really want a President that is "guided" by the equivalent to an Imam?

Is the Presidents pastor to become our Ayatollah?

    I don't think so.

Isn't religious orthodoxy and intolerance behind the motivations of the terrorists that we are at war against?

  • 'Fundamental' is a word which has a meaning other than that which you seem to have misconstrued it to mean in this context. They are not talking about 'fundamentalISM', they are just using the word 'fundamental'. Everyone has "...fundamental ideas..." & "...fundamental assumptions...". For instance, you have misinterpreted what Paul was saying by making the incorrect fundamental assumption that by using the word 'fundamental' he was referring to 'fundamentalISM'.

  • No, I don't think so. I think that Jay was seeding the word into the dialog in hopes that Dr. Hopkins would run with it.

This is my point: What is the purpose of this straw-man argument anyway if the average American doesn't support the idea that church attendance and affiliation equates to slave-like adherence to religious dogma?

Otherwise American Catholic leaders MUST be opposed to Roe-v-Wade, Methodists MUST be against gay-rights, etc., etc.

Who else do we hold to this standard? No one!

  • Bottom line:

Nobody, least of all Barack Obama, is asking anyone to vote for Rev. Wright for Ayatollah or for Trinity Union as our National Church.

  • I agree with you that no one is asking for people to vote Rev. Wright for Ayatollah.

But Paul Jay clearly said that he thought that Obama & Wright had very different views & oppinions. "There are DIFFERENT FUNDAMENTAL BELIEFS BETWEEN THE TWO MEN..." How can you possibly suggest that he means to say that Obama is beholden to Wright's Dogma? That's ridiculous!

  • I mean, the entire time he's basically trying to make one point, which is that Obama & Wright have 'fundamentally' DIFFERENT views. So what was your point again?

"...the average American doesn't support the idea that church attendance and affiliation equates to slave-like adherence to religious dogma"

So what you're saying is that you AGREE with Paul Jay's statements.
