Okay, so I don't exactly listen to all the ''punk'' stuff now, but music from the 50's 60's and 70's has influenced my taste in music so much. I grew up with my mum playing stuff like Bruce Springsteen and the Ramones and my dad playing Chuck Berry and Creedence Clear Water Rivival, and without their music, I'd not be who I am today. I hate that so many kids my age don't even know who these people are..

I think it's the Ramones that were born in the wrong generation. Their early stuff was mostly just 60s surf/Phil Spector music sped up and with heavy guitar. Or maybe they were born in the right generation, growing up fans and taking that music in a new direction.
