  • perhaps it's my musicians dirty mind, but both of those fountains look incredibly phallic.

  • Wow! That was a fun clip. I'd sure love to learn how to do that dance. Well... make that learn to dance in general. I'm 17 - I've got time, right?

    Greetings from a Hoosier!

  • Cornball. But that doesn't stop this from being great. Love how "Shave and a Haircut, Two Bits" is used at one point.

  • Just saw the whole film, presented by the UCLA Archive. I think IMDB has their heights wrong-- Rosetta (raspy-voice) "5-4" and Vivian "5-0".... looks like it's the other way around.

  • Oh fugg yew

  • Any chance of posting another number from the film, TCM utterly refuse to ever show the film in the UK, siting no interest!

  • Brilliant; great to see this - moreover in a clean color print!

  • the prettier duncan sister has no neck...her head just sits on her shoulders.

  • a fantastic look back at life 80 years ago...thanks!

  • Thanks for posting a better quality version than was on Utube before, it's one of the better condition 2 strip Technicolor films surviving. Pity the Duncans did not make more films

  • Nice but how exactly does it go, its a bit more complicated then the charlston, if only a derivation of it. I am from indiana so I will put this into my popping if I ever make it out to a dance club in the near time.

and got to love the man voice from the one lol hu wats that

  • Very enjoyable clip! The sisters, the music, the early technicolor - I love it!

  • Even the Great Depression, I wish I'd lived those glory years.

  • You asked it, you'll have it, just wait a little, and you'll see : there's no glory at all !

  • I mean Swing Era : 1920s to 1950s.

  • Fascinating to see the famous Duncan sisters in color with all the MGM talent and money around them. Thanks.

  • Thanks!!

  • Nice one!
