PUMP DOES NOT MEAN GROWTH! PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD!if your doing 100lbs,and you push or pull 101lbs YOU GOT STRONGER AND A LITTLE BIGGER.none of this is rocket science.this goes back to MILO with the cow from birth to adulthood.everyday, the cow got bigger when he carried it.and so did milo.read a copy of milo.this stuff is hundreds of years old.
i tried an experiment.i quit doing any sort of lateral raise, rear laterals etc.my friends said oh,you will lose width in the delts without them.so,for 1 year,2inch bar push jerks and snatch grip push presses.guess what?after 1 year i not only didnt lose width in the side delts, but gained 5/8 of an inch from just pressing.back to basics people.train brutally hard, blood and sweat!you must get stronger to get bigger.
why should a dinosaur bother with such sissy movements when he can do a seated press with 250lbs,on a 3 inch bar?what are lateral raises with 20lb dumbells going to do for a man who presses 250?and as for development, the 250lb presser will have delts like cannonballs, and the wannabewho waves the little dumbells up and down will have delts the size of number 11 shot.
delts huh;real men train their delts with heavy presses or push jerks, thats an olympic movement great for overloading for strength in the shoulder girdle.they do them seated or standing.they use heavy dumbells or the 2 inch apollons axle.we also use logs, barrels, kegs, and heavy bags filled with sand or lead shot.youll never see a dinosaur as were called doing any form of lateral raises, arnold presses,or using the latest chrome plated delt machine to hit the market.
this guy knows whag he's talking about I watched this and a lot of his other ones and grabbed my weights and tried them out Nd my god they work I feel dunch a pump my arms feel like their doing the work instead of just whipping the barbell up to get the weight up now I feel like I'm doing right light weight and control is the WY to go
I think there's too much focus on the orientation of the dumbbells/hands in this, that's something that can change due to pronation and supination of the forearm. The focus should be on where the elbows point because that's the indication of shoulder rotation.
Still the essence makes sense assuming neutral forearm rotation. I just think it's too easy to say, in the front raise, turn the hands up via supnation rather than external rotation as intended. I think this cheating happens in video.
Thank you for the video. You do an excellent job with your tips, descriptions and different camera angles. I sat here and tryed the Charles Glass method with no weights, and felt the medial delt activated much better than with any other version of the lateral raise. Thank you for sharing. Keep the videos coming.
you are fucking amazing. i love all your vids cuz it really isolates all the important parts that we want to work and also you give the amazing tweaks that make them burn. i wish you could be more involved in your site by posting more stuff because ur seriously great at it. thank for all the great advice. looking forward to work out today by doing these exercises

@musclelibrarytv mate, I'm not sure if you're breathing right. Shouldn't you be exhaling during the positive phase of your movement?
