No wonder McCain wants to delay the 1st presidential debate, he knows that Obama is gonna kick his ass! McCain says he's suspending his campaign to head up to Washington to help solve the problem, but he should do that when alerted to do so once the senate vote kicks in. America needs to hear from the men (one of them about to lead our country) during the debate on where they stand and what the plan on doing about the crisis, that way America knows who the logical vote should be cast for!
Clinton is in "The Last Chance Saloon". At 60 I would imagine this is her only chance of capturing The Presidency. She could easily win against McCain and, I would think, a further term. And after 8 years Obama would have more experience, and still be a credible candidate for President. So, in theory, The Democrats could dominate US politics for the next 16 years, but alas, Obama's impatience and ego stands in the way of making this dream a reality!

There has never been a country run successfully by a black man. That is the major disadvantage of Africa. It is a country rich in natural resources and blessed in many ways. RON PAUL<<< no candidate is even close to him. rEVOLution... he wants to put an end to income tax and maybe even the whole IRS!!! END ALL AMERICAN WARS BRINGING NOT ONLY TROOPS IN IRAQ HOME BUT TROOPS ALL AROUND THE WORLD!!! god bless ron paul!! RESTORE THE REPUBLIC
Obama's right(about cooperation with other nations) not only our enemies but even our allies are dissapointed at America. Or should I say George W. Bush/Congress. The fact that Obama is against the Iraq war that just may draw some support from these dissapointed nations and perhaps more chances of resolving issues and preventing future wars (possibly WW3)
You know, you can have all the experience in the world but if people don't listen to you, you're not going to get very far. Just ask Biden and Dodd.
Ron Paul does not have wide enough appeal to win a national election. Also, because he's not a frontrunner he can propose things that even Americans who support him wouldn't buy.
Why did Obama say "All of us are glad that we haven't had a terrorist ATTRACT attack since 9/11"? Inspite of his outward opinion that President Bush has done well in stopping terrorism at home, his slip of tongue is a clear indication that his inner thought was blaming President Bush for ATTRACTING terrorist attack. I like Martin Luther King. He was so true to his belief.
No presidential candidate who keeps silent about the Compean and Ramos case deserves to be the next President.
No presidential candidate who sees nothing wrong with the cruel and unusual punishment imposed on the two border agents under the wrong statute of the law deserves to be the next President.
We want a wise and brave leader, not a coward, to be the next President of the United States of America.
I dont believe that americans still go and vote after that stunt G.W. Bush and his judge freinds pulled few years ago, and stole the presidentsy.. Bravo.. Keep the faith ppl.

What...? Edwards, Clinton, and Obama are all members of the Council on Foreign Relations. So too are Bush, Thompson, McCain, and Guilani. The CFR has the stated goal to destroy America by first eliminating the borders (already in progress). They believe, not "in the people." They represent the same elites that are ruining our Nation right now. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE INTER AND INTRA PARTY BICKERING. THEY ARE ALL IN IT TOGETHER! The Nation is dying and we need a doctor... Ron Paul 2008!
Inform yourself people...don vote for obama b/c he has hot chicks in his add...or b/c your friends are doing it...look into Ron Paul!!! no income tax, no federal reserve, no north american union, no more war (unlike obama)no national i.d card. Yes to personal freedoms, civil liberties, and the restoration of constitutional rights!!! look into him, and open your mind beyond the obama propoganda...Ron paul 08!!
Obama friends I am here for you when you realize that the fix is in! Hillary will pick Richardson (latino vote) over Obama who should be at least the VP. Do not forget Jesse Jackson's Rainbow--democrats passed him up too. No more loyalty to the democrats! People its time to teach the democratic establishment a lesson. Mess both established parties and registar republican, vote Ron Paul in the primaries who also voted against Iraq War. Shake both establishments to its knees.
If Ron Paul is elected, are willing to give up federal, state and local services that you now take for granted?
I like Ron Paul as I do all the candidates except Hillary Clinton but Ron Paul is relying on your ignorance of the complexity of the world to make his case. What and how much of it are you willing to give up for a Ron Paul White House?
I don't think all-out racism by itself would be a big enough factor to keep Obama from winning. Of course there's racism in America, but it's not as blatant as that.
Fuck Hillary, for 2 simple reasons, she sells out the USA worker to foreign outsourcing jobs. 2. She supports the fucking amnesty bill, she gets elected and I am almost sure if elected someone is going to give her the jfk, She isn't a baby killer like bush but she is a white collar criminal that uses things like free trade to profiteer of the people of this country and example of her investments when free trade was enacted by bill
...Cisco systems.... she made millions, ford motor company is going broke because of this free trade bullshit give the American market tariffs and a chance to compete with 3rd world county labor. so Fuck Hillary I support obama 100% Americans for Americans, I am voting Ron Paul or obama that simple.
Terrorist "attract", is that a Freudian slip of the tongue? I wonder what this guy really believes. Obama suffers from American mania, the the competetive, self-promoting belief that he can be president because he just wants to and not because it makes sense for the American people. Obama simply wants more, more, more!!! More to Obama is just not enough!
Ther's no way Hillary would win against the Republicans. Not going to happen - recall the vast right wing conspiracy? OBAMA will bring Repubs and Independents. Hillary will send them scurrying to the Repubs. I'm a Repub and I'll be voting for OBAMA!
Obama is a member of the Council of Foreign Relations... he is a sellout to the USA so is mitt romney hillary clinton edwards rudy guliani and john mccain... together with the CFR they are preparing a new north american union... Ron Paul is the only one who is addressing what they are doing and is against it... oh and lou dobbs too...
BLACK PEOPLE DON'T NEED TO SIT BACK AND WATCH THE BLACK WOMAN SELL US OUT-
Black women see GENDER before race, (white women see race before gender) B women are the "Clone" of the white woman so Hillary enjoys a sexist black feminist

july20, 2007. cnn reports that soon pres.bush will go into hospital for routine colonostomy(probably spelt wrong). during the 1 or 2 days bush is in the hospital, cheney will be the acting president,OH NO the last time cheney was in charge of something(command bunker under whitehouse) something very bad happened, remember sept 11 2001. everybody hold your breathe when cheney takes over for those days YIKES!
it is clear to me that Obama is the winner in here.. he has a balatant message for all humans to lead a better life and that is a hope not only for the Americans but the whole world,
Okay, from what I've seen on these message boards, apparently Ron Paul is to the presidential election what emails about free Viagra are to my email inbox.
Either come up with something of relevance to say, or don't say it at all. It's a rule for 5-year-old children, and it's a rule for presidential candidates.
Obama has a very good voice and he speaks very eloquently. BUT WHAT IS HE SAYING?!?! CO-OPERATION OF ALLIANCES?!?! That will make it worse. Thomas Jefferson said we should trade with all nations and be allicanced with none. That's what's causing countries to hate us. Why do you think the middle east hates us, we are giving weapons to their enemy. Is that the voice of a country that wants peace? that's what RON Paul Believes. Look up on you tube: "Stop Dreaming Ron Paul"
the lies and such deception i tell ya. what a snake. when i replayed it i felt barack really was the one who dominated but thats not what the majority opinion will be because they saw it live. case in point, barack is still the man, and if hilary didnt play this friends game and put herself in a fight against obama and edwards instead of her and george, it would make her look worse.
she also keeps disguising herself as the top dog by posing as the candidate who is "good friends with rival candidates" and preaching that "we are all the same", and the message thats being brainwashed into you is why not just pick me hahahaha (yes she laughs alot to break the ice and be the human being instead of the politician that she is).
when i viewed this live i was skeptical with barack's overall performance, and i really believed hilary actually came out on top, but boy was i wrong..hilary is nothing but a very good politician, she uses good tactics like comparing herself constantly to george bush, putting him down alot and making herself look that much better.
you don't even know what you're talking about Lupine. His position on the war was affirm and direct. This is what he has been saying since 2002, at the start of the war. He didn't distort his answer at all, watch all his videos from the past and you will see that he has always held this position. You need to watch this video again, his answer was straightforward to the question.
The question was "Could it be that the Bush Administration's effort to thwart terror at home has been a success?" Note the key words there *at home*. Meaning here. That's a very specific question. What does he answer with: "We live in a more dangerous world, not a less dangerous world", then goes on to list things about sending more troops overseas.
Umm.. hello.. the question was very specific: *has the effort to thwart terror attacks *at home* been successful". The answer to that would be *yes*, because there haven't been any. The question is even *repeated* toward the end, because Barack never answered it. And he still doesn't give an answer.. he goes back to "I think there's some things they've done well.. They've cracked down on financial networks..."
So, yes, I do know what I'm talking about. Barack is pulling the same crap every Politician does when trying to give *any* credit to an opposing party that they're trying to make look bad. They come back with their talking points. Republicans do it. Democrats do it. All politicians do it.
I think the some things they've done means - yes and no. It is true that the world is more dangerous since George Bush has implemented his anti-terrorism policies. And I voted for him twice. Obviously I don't dislike him but I think we need something different NOW. That's why I'll be voting for OBAMA!
So glad I'm not watching these. He never answers the direct question he was asked... Just comes right back with the talking points, in true politician fashion. So sick of politicians.
Obama's schilling for the World Government. Right here he says he'll continue the invasion of the Middle East, blame it all on Bush, and consolidate us with the opinions of the other nations of the world who are already being run by the Central Bank. He's just a fascist like all the others up there.
That doesn't make sense. He has to be a good debator to get votes and become president. But how good will he be as president, I don't know. To get there he has to debate well though.
Along w/the rest of the "top tear", Barak can't "root" anything out because he does'nt know what to "root" out. He is a pretty face but sounds uncomfortable speaking because he does'nt understand what he is B.S.ing about. We need wisdom from the likes of Gravel, Kucinich or Paul!!!!
what was very impressive to me how barack obama answered to the question wether english should be the official language of america,he said what any true uniter would say,its crystal clear to me that obama have no intrest in playing politics of division,i think he is the politician of unity, politician of bridging the gap between diffrent people and diffrent world.
The candidate who was given the least amount of time to express his positions and platform, Mike Gravel, was asked a total of 3 questions.
One of which was, what he would do to utilize one of the other candidates husband when he got into the white house, making the focus of one of the only questions asked to him actually focused in a way back on another candidate, who was on top of that given 3 times as much time to speak!
Sorry if the ron paul fans over exuberant. Wouldnt be worth considering, that Ron Paul is serious about getting us out of the global quagmire that the Reps have gotten us into. These Dems that pay lip service to this idea cannot backup their mouths with voting records. So i can see why Ron Paul fans are shouting it from their proverbial rooftops. I dont see anyone on this panel of Dem hopefuls that stands a chance or truly wants to give us real change in that direction.
It was absolutely astounding and completely unacceptable for a debate over the democratic office of the President of the united states.
We'll just have to inform ourselves by way of the People's media, the Internet, especially concerning the candidates that CNN is openly marginalizing.
CNN's hosting of the debate last night was no "360" view.
They have openly pre-selected for the American people who they want to win the election by favoring some candidates over others in terms of how many questions they asked them, how many opporunities they gave particular individuals to respond to the answers of other candidates, and how long they aloud candidates to speak in general.
why do they never mention that wide open borders does 10 times more damage to our security than anything good the patriot acts do for us? The media and politicains keep playing us like fools, and erode our civil liberties under the guise of fighting terrorism. Meanwhile, our national sovereignty is eroding away while illegals can open bank accounts without ID. Just because we haven't had an attack does not mean we are safer.
It doesnt matter if your a life long Democrat. Look up Ron Paul. He crosses all party lines. We've never had a chance to elect a leader like him in over 100 years. He would be like getting the chance to elect a world peace leader like Ghandi. In our lifetime I hope we can someday have such a leader in the Whitehouse. Ron Paul can restore that hope!
He may be right, but I wish he'd stray from his own talking points to explain the issue with a little more depth. Perhaps no political appointee, on either side, can take credit for the law enforcement duties carried out by career agents. Thus, the answer to the question is still 'no.'
Swivel, I disagree with your assertion that Obama did not answer the question directly. I don't think you can give a more direct answer than he did and I for one agree with everything he said.
He is a Republican Neo-Con goof! She will attack Iran, no doubt. What will the anti-war Democrats say then. Vote Ron Paul and lets return this country to greatness!

RickeyRaignJanus 4 years ago
Obama has the right idea but do you think he has the right experience?
Biden has 30 years in teh senate, all of which he has served on the foreign relations commitee which he is the current chair of.
while obama was missing votes, Biden was calling musharef; before bush did i might add.

BuyUSAsEthanolKilOil 4 years ago

Thomas Jefferson said we should trade with all nations and be allicanced with none. That's what's causing countries to hate us. the lies and such deception i tell ya. what a snake. when i replayed it i felt barack really was the one who dominated but thats not what the majority opinion will be because they saw it live. case in point, barack is still the man, and if hilary didnt play this friends game and put herself in a fight against obama and edwards instead of her and george, it would make her look worse.
dodgerspark 4 years ago
she also keeps disguising herself as the top dog by posing as the candidate who is "good friends with rival candidates" and preaching that "we are all the same", and the message thats being brainwashed into you is why not just pick me hahahaha (yes she laughs alot to break the ice and be the human being instead of the politician that she is).
dodgerspark 4 years ago
when i viewed this live i was skeptical with barack's overall performance, and i really believed hilary actually came out on top, but boy was i wrong..hilary is nothing but a very good politician, she uses good tactics like comparing herself constantly to george bush, putting him down alot and making herself look that much better.
dodgerspark 4 years ago
you don't even know what you're talking about Lupine. His position on the war was affirm and direct. This is what he has been saying since 2002, at the start of the war. He didn't distort his answer at all, watch all his videos from the past and you will see that he has always held this position. You need to watch this video again, his answer was straightforward to the question.
BlueApple00 4 years ago
The question was "Could it be that the Bush Administration's effort to thwart terror at home has been a success?" Note the key words there *at home*. Meaning here. That's a very specific question. What does he answer with: "We live in a more dangerous world, not a less dangerous world", then goes on to list things about sending more troops overseas.
lupine73 4 years ago
Umm.. hello.. the question was very specific: *has the effort to thwart terror attacks *at home* been successful". The answer to that would be *yes*, because there haven't been any. The question is even *repeated* toward the end, because Barack never answered it. And he still doesn't give an answer.. he goes back to "I think there's some things they've done well.. They've cracked down on financial networks..."
lupine73 4 years ago
So, yes, I do know what I'm talking about. Barack is pulling the same crap every Politician does when trying to give *any* credit to an opposing party that they're trying to make look bad. They come back with their talking points. Republicans do it. Democrats do it. All politicians do it.
lupine73 4 years ago
(correction: meant to say when trying *not* to give any credit...)
lupine73 4 years ago
I think the some things they've done means - yes and no. It is true that the world is more dangerous since George Bush has implemented his anti-terrorism policies. And I voted for him twice. Obviously I don't dislike him but I think we need something different NOW. That's why I'll be voting for OBAMA!

faraz06 4 years ago
The candidate who was given the least amount of time to express his positions and platform, Mike Gravel, was asked a total of 3 questions.
One of which was, what he would do to utilize one of the other candidates husband when he got into the white house, making the focus of one of the only questions asked to him actually focused in a way back on another candidate, who was on top of that given 3 times as much time to speak!
Wow. Just wow.

John Edwards was allotted 11 minutes, 42 seconds to speak.
Mike Gravel was allotted 5 minutes, 37 seconds to speak.
Dennis Kucinich was allotted 9 minutes, 2 seconds to speak.
Barack Obama was allotted 16 minutes to speak.
Bill Richardson was allotted 10 minutes, 48 seconds to speak.
Wolf Blitzer spent 13 minutes, 24 seconds speaking. That's more time than all but two of the candidates were given to express themselves.

Chris Dodd was allotted 8 minutes, 28 seconds to speak.

It was absolutely astounding and completely unacceptable for a debate over the democratic office of the President of the united states.
We'll just have to inform ourselves by way of the People's media, the Internet, especially concerning the candidates that CNN is openly marginalizing.
HatTricksInc 4 years ago
CNN's hosting of the debate last night was no "360" view.
They have openly pre-selected for the American people who they want to win the election by favoring some candidates over others in terms of how many questions they asked them, how many opporunities they gave particular individuals to respond to the answers of other candidates, and how long they aloud candidates to speak in general.
HatTricksInc 4 years ago
why do they never mention that wide open borders does 10 times more damage to our security than anything good the patriot acts do for us? The media and politicains keep playing us like fools, and erode our civil liberties under the guise of fighting terrorism. Meanwhile, our national sovereignty is eroding away while illegals can open bank accounts without ID. Just because we haven't had an attack does not mean we are safer.

He may be right, but I wish he'd stray from his own talking points to explain the issue with a little more depth. Perhaps no political appointee, on either side, can take credit for the law enforcement duties carried out by career agents. Thus, the answer to the question is still 'no.'
