  • Shortly there's gonna be a gothic market around where I live and I am sure the girls are gonna use a lot of the stuff that you mentioned. I can pass the information to them as there are a lot of people I know, some of them real good friends. Thank you very much for explaining so much.

  • youre sooo cute

  • Oh my god, you looks like Tarja Turunen in some photos! You're absolutely awesome <3

  • As a teen I used to spend hours in my bathroom trying out different looks on myself, but I never was this creative. Watching your videos takes me back there and is both informative and great fun for me. Thank you for posting such wonderful tutorials.

P.S. I've always wanted to see how to accomplish a 1940's Rita Hayworth look as I've always thought that make-up style was so beautiful. Have you ever donned that look? With your bone structure & large eyes it would look terrific on you.

  • that's so cool

  • This is the first videos I've seen of you, and its rpetty awesome, but I have to ask... Are you Canadian? Just curious cause you kinda have a little Canadian accent. I apologize for the odd question

  • @JamieDinosaurRAWR yeah... she's half canadian half... switzerlanderish?? how can I say that?? However one parent is from switzerland and one is from canada... :D

  • It's the best costume make up that you did, it's so perfect and realistique. I love everything that you do, buut that one is the BEST! Wow, I'm impressed!

  • Hey we have the same name...and I love your videos! Im 14 and I loveeeeeeee doing make up and try to get some ideas from your looks :)

  • This scared me! :-s

  • I have worked in the theatre for years with hair and makeup, and just want to say that when your doing your "contureing", for your paler ghostly looks, it's called "hallowing out", it gives the appearence of a corpse that is decomposing. kitty corner to the end of eyebrows is a good spot to for hallowing out, and on the collerbone. Love ur videos. try Ben Nye's Death Wheel, Setting powder, and for that runny blood u had by the eyes, use coagulated blood and stiple it for broken cappilaries

  • @Hairqween68

Contouring is the correct word to use as well dear. If you know anything about makeup you know that contouring is when you use make up to create shadows, which makes your face look different. Not saying "hallowing out" isn't correct too, but both apply. I would assume they're interchangeable. Tee hee.

  • super cute and creepy

  • I did this look on my 9 year old tonight and she stayed in character ALL night!!! Very cute look and I must upload a pic of her. MUST SEE!!

  • Where you learnd to making this amazing makeup ? :)

  • @glicia1 It's "inanimate" or "unanimated". If you're going to troll at least try to make sense...

  • Could you recommend color schemes for darker skin tones? My skin is a honeyed brown color and I don't really know how to make my face pale without looking like some kind of retarded geisha.

  • I am always in complete awe when I see girls and women walking around on a gothic and fantasy market who are so fantastically made up. I always wonder how they do it and where they get the stuff. I make plenty of pictures but to know how they do it is even better. Your video was very interesting and informative.

  • @berry5304 It takes alot of creativity, patience and time. We get our stuff from pretty much anywhere. Target, sephora, drug stores. anywhere that has makeup we find interesting.

  • thank you ! really helps me a lot ! ^^

  • i should have said something earlier but it would be great if you did like a scary/gore/violent bunny/rabbit Halloween look.

but its probably too late now :(

  • when you do your makeup can you please act a little like for this you could say like i am going to kill you when you sleep or anything you think would go with the makeup and you only did it in your white quenn alice in wonderland makeup tutorial so do it again and you might get more veiws.

  • that look insannnnnneeeeeeee!! :)

  • the music was scary in the beginning....btw great video!!

  • How did u do the bloody eyes!?

  • OMG! REALLY CREEPY AND VERY GOOD JOB;)

  • Ok I got it, this Halloween I will be a dead doll :P

  • Your hair looks really pretty in this video :)

    Love the look! Thanks yous!

  • O_O

The no eyebrows really makes to look...creepy

  • can you make something for like a dark fairy?

  • @maddietaylortv she already did just go to her channel

  • You've inspired my halloween costume! Thank you!

  • did you cover your eyebrows with concealer or did you glue over them? this is amazing, totally what i was looking for thank you!

  • You never fail to impress me, Julia!! Awesome look. Veeeery creepy.

  • I love the color of your nails!!!

  • Curiousity, what are you using on your nails? It's gorgeous

  • love your tutorials! kinda upset you didnt do the big eyes as you did with the ventriloquist doll one. any reason? thinking abt doing this makeup with the big doll eyes for halloween, and was wondering if in any way is it a bad idea?

  • Did the Corpse Bride themed one last year!!The kids LOVED IT!!You are the only one I subscribe to and actually use!LOL

  • CAN ANYONE GIVE ME SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT TO WEAR WITH THIS MAKE UP LOOK???

  • THAAAANK YOUUU !! :D

because of this vid i decided to be a dead doll (followed step by step from this vid) for our Halloween contest in school and I won in the category dead :D thank youuuu soooo muuuch !! love all your vids :) <3<3<3

  • i found that using nyx jumbo in milk all over the face with a white shadow over works as well instead of the foundation

  • I want you to do a cute doll make-up!! :) That's what I'm going to do for halloween and I need some ideas :P Because I'm really into the whole blue eye shadow and pink blush thing to make it look like a doll, but I need a better idea :)

  • im so doing this one for halloween!

  • @cachouski yup im going for this look aswell!

  • great as always ;D xP

  • Wooow, I'm deffo doin this for Halloween, except I'm goin to add some of the ventriloquist doll tutorial in it :D

  • WHOAH AWESOME, you should put the blood like dripping from the side of your lip or something. (:

  • I love this look!! I might have to do this for halloween :D

  • This is ah-mazing. I'm doing this. Not just for Halloween, but for any time I feel like it because I can't just do this for Halloween ONLY!

Btw, this makeup for some reason reminds me of The Birthday Massacre.

  • Whoa, this is awesome! Really close attention to detail!

  • seroulsy this is scary!!

  • u are kind of crayze

  • What brush did you use for the veining? I haven't seen a brush that fine before. is it a nail artist brush by chance? I must get my hands on one like it.

Sorry if this has been asked/answered, but 600 comments to read through is too much for me this evening. I'm too tired to search. LOL

I can only imagine how you feel if you go through all of your Questions & Comments...ugh.

  • haha--that's kinda what my eyes look like when I wake up everyday so imagine all the work required to cover them up LOL (undereye circles & eye redness are my true enemy)

Seriously though, this is really good. You haven't let me down yet!!!

Make yourself look like a man and I will be serously REALLY REALLY impressed!!!

  • How much is the foundation by MAC? Running on a budget here....

  • i LOVE your nails!

  • Huge fan love all your vids I went as the fallen angel last year and got tons of completments ( can't spell )

    Your so talented

You should do a really scary look next

  • Hello! I'm such a huge fan from Alberta, Canada! I was wondering if you could do a Halloween makeup look for a masquerade??

  • I'm being a dead barbie for halloween and this'll go perfect with it! Thanks so much!

  • The music was creepy at the beginning..... The makeup was great though, very realistic ^^ I has a question. ;3 If you have a black fairy costume, what kind of colors and what kind of look should I wear?? <33

  • @iIshAsian Check out my Fallen Angel look :)

  • Could you do the veins with black gel liner? Because I dont have a blue gel lliner and i really like this look. :)

  • @cintiaino I'm not julia, but you might be able to get away with using it if you water it down really well first, just as she did, and use a light touch. If you have a dark blue eyeshadow, you can wet your brush and do the same thing. It should work just fine. If you do that though, touch the brush to/on the outer edge of the shadow pan so that you don't ruin the center portion of the shadow. Water can make a 'hard' spot on the shadow depending on what type it is. Hope that made sense. GoodLuck

  • so good, I loved it.

  • Hi Julia! I am going to recreate this for Halloween but I was wondering what you used on your brows?? I really like the effect it gave to the look but I can't tell if you covered them with glue or did you just run the white foundation through them? Thanks and wonderful job on this!! I will be taking pics so I can upload the look as video response to show my recreation!

  • @AleciaAnne27 I tried to cover them with glue but since my brow hairs are pretty dark it didn't really work. I don't have the right material for proper brow covering so it just looks a bit crappy.

  • The music in the beginning freaked me out. D:

  • You should do a collab with vintageortacky. :D

  • Where did you get the blood from?

  • @icrevice From a costume store but I don't recommend that one.

  • @MissChievous Thanks.

  • @MissChievous wondering why you didnt use soap to get your brows flat and smooth before you covered them were you still wanting the hairs to show their texture just whited out?

  • would look great with full black eyes!

  • @desy27 Yes, or any creepy lenses. I just can't get the lenses into my eyeballs, lol.

  • @MissChievous i wouldnt be able 2 either...never tried contacts...eek

  • you just gave me my idea for this years halloween costume!!!

  • very nice job!

  • Can you make a short makeup tutorial that is not sped up so i can use it for the costume contest at my school? So its its like maybe 4 to 5 miniutes cause that how much time we have for makeup and to put on our costume.

  • omg i wish you did this tutorial earlier. i would've definitely been this for halloween if i hadn't already picked what i'm going to be. i'll try to keep this look in mind though for next year, haha

  • music at the beginning creeped me the f*** out lmao

  • Cool and scary!

  • Not gonna lie, you seriously scared me in the beggining of this video...Creepy!

  • Hey, does anyone know of a good tut for a type of Miss Universe, sort of plastic look? Doesn't have to be a specific Miss Universe tut, but something like it, because I have a hard time finding one that's.... good you know xD

  • @hellsfarmor check Kandeethemakeupartist. She has tons of looks and she might have a costume tutorial that will help with what you are trying to do.

  • This is super super cool and OMG....You look like esther of the orphan with your hair like that!!!! :L

  • why are you eyebrows white?

  • Hey Julia. Again, you did an awesome job!

I would like to ask you, wether you could do a "dead Zombie bride" tutorial, because i think this would be one of the most unique costumes at every Halloween Party.

    (:

  • @BlackBebii You could really take this make up and just add bridal touches, actually :)

  • this is my favourite look from ur halloween series....good job....keep it up......

  • the bloodshot look and the lips are mega impressive!

  • hi can you make a german halloween tutorial ???

  • My dad just stare at my comp. LOL. And he walked away, he must be wondering what im watching. :P I think im gonna wear this for halloween. Love all of ur tutoriall, Julia. :X

  • there's actually pure white foundation?! O.o what brand?

  • @azukibeanmochi MAC and Face Atelier both make some. I used one from MAC Pro.

  • i like it but it reminds me more of a dead Geisha rather a dead doll.

  • This look is another in your major talent line. :) I hope you are working as a mu artist because if you're not your talent is being a bit wasted and someone out there is missing out on a great mu artist! I say a bit wasted because it's not a total waste because you do these videos and give a lot of people a lot of pleasure (me for one) and fun watching you develop all these characters and mu looks. I love this look. I was thinking if I did it I wouldn't have to fake the bloodshot eyes! LOL!

  • amaizing job Julia :D From all Gurus i watch u are the most Intelligent, Beautiful and Creative one so u dont need waste ur time with stupid ppl :)
