Does anyone know the DVD this is from? or are there tabs for this version? I looked at the contents for "A Guitar Lesson with David Bromberg" and this one doesn't seem to be on it. Love the intro on this one... thanks
i love guitarists that can make their guitar their bitch and make it do whatever they want so effortlessly. i feel lucky to live in wilmington and see bromberg often
Lets see, Bush or Bromberg, Bromberg has been entertaining thousands of people for decades, Bush started a war over WMD's - cost thousands of lives - spent billions of other peoples money - probably made a few people Rich, so lets look at this again Bromberg or Bush.
Have loved Mr. Bromberg's music, style, skill and great nauture for 30 years, but came to despise his unprofessional Bush-bashing at concerts, which is immature and has totally changed my mind about him.
Bush kept us safe and freed 36 million Iraqis, of that there's no denying. He also increase federal education spending from $5 billion to $25 billion, so libs should love him, but, instead, they worship the hollow and corrupt Clinton/Obama ilk. It's a tired old reprise.
Far from bashing Bush, David just pointed out, correctly, that under Bushman our civil liberties were reduced and the right to habeus corpus, a good old conservative American value was first suspended and then eliminated. How safe are the million dead or displaced Iraqis and thousands of American soldiers who died while Bush searched for WMDs that he already knew were not there? Check out the movie "Green Zone" and keep your insipid political commentary to yourself.
@7kidchaos bury the politics man, you are entitled to your opinion, maybe people just don't don't really want to hear it. we already have the blues...
@7kidchaos Music is music. Listen to the music. A person's politics does NOT change the way their music sounds...that is all in your head. If you like his music, style, skill you should still like his music, style, and skill. The fact that you cannot separate the two says more about you than about David Bromberg. Ditch his politics if you don't like, but you can sure keep the music. Remember Woodie, Seeger, and on an on. This Land is Your Land? You'd pitch that with your philosophy. Music :)
hey check out my cover of Ray Charles "A Fool For You".....Alicia Keys "If I Ain't Got You".......and more @ 09soulboy channel subscribe leave a comment and rate the vids hope you enjoy thank you for the time
David Bromberg's Talent never ceases to amaze me, he can play any instrument he puts his hands on, and play them very very well.......he is an amazing person with a serious gift.
I love David's music but I have some skepticism about going to African American churches. My experience has been that Sunday is the most segregated day in this country.
This Jewish boy used to go to Jazz fest in New Orleans as many times as I could. I spent as much time in the gospel tent as I could. The quality of music there was a treat.
Yep good luck tabbing that one out! I have a few of his songs tabbed, one like this called Bullfrog Blues, one of his classic, and best slow blues tunes. I'd tab this one for the right price! :)
As a way back Ray Charles fan and "A fool for you" one of my all time favorites, I thank you David Bromberg for making this video. Wonderful version! 57 or 58 Ray Charles at Newport album one of the best ever. Long variations of all the best of Ray. Thanks.
Thanks for these videos of Mr. Bromberg. He's one of the most sincere speakers I've heard --it clear the appreciation he has for his teachers and influences. I could listen to his singing and guitar playing for days...and have.
The "mmm" at 3:37 is hilarious

People I kid you not, this wonderful musician looks more like my late Uncle Dan than anyone I have ever seen. RIP Daniel, and God Bless Dr. Bromberg!

I took a black studies course last semester, and you're statistically correct, right before schools. The least segregated place is the armed forces.
