  • what type of ink is needed so that once on the tee,it doesnt look like its old?

  • @lilpjuarez Plastisol Ink

  • You will need to have a screen for each image you want to print unless you want to reclaim the screen between each print.

  • Is all that you need is that one wooden screen unit of do you need to buy one for each design

  • Ryonet , will I also be able to print onto sweatshirts and other tops ?

  • Thank you for the great video! I can't wait to order the kit so I can start :) And thank you for sharing your awesome techniques.

  • how many shirts will your basic $150. kit print?

    Thank you.

  • @7KevinTKD with the supplies that come in the kit, around 40 or so, but you can easily get more ink and print thousands!

  • I really do hope this video is helping explain the basic steps of screen printing.

  • Just remember that unexposed emulsion cannot be exposed to UV light or it will be ruined. follow that rule and you will be fine.

  • Do I have to have amber lights like you have while my screen is pre-exposed? I see a lot of people have normal lighting and their screens are coming out fine.

  • is the sun hot enough to replace that light and hairdryer. i'm in key west florida.

  • @FelixBarre It is, the only problem is that it is not consistent so you exposure times will change slihgtly.

  • Can you screen onto wood that is concave like a skateboard deck, or does the surface you want to screen on have to be flat against the wood? Or, can you not print on wood at all, just cotton t shirts?

  • @FeatSkateboards You can though it is not as easy as a shirt, you have to get very good at it with larger screens and different ink.

  • I really love how Ryonet finds time to comment on every post! That's what customer service is all about! This is the best company i've ever delt with!

  • Question on making the transparency. I have not been impressed with how black I can make a transparency on an ink jet or laser printer for PC board exposure and developing. Is it less critical for silkscreen emulsion? Do you have a recommended printer/transparency?

  • @Probedude2000 Nevermind, I see from your website you sell ink. Is this a 'must' have for just fooling around? (not looking to go commercial with this)

  • @Probedude2000 Probably not. You can print two copies and stack them on top of each other or even run it through the printer twice to get something darker.

  • @Ryonet Thanks much! My laserprinter doesn't feed accurately enough to feed in 2X (not for PC board work that's for sure), but stacking 2 prints I can do!

  • you make putting the emulsion on look so easy. when I did it it dripped all over the place

  • @ZmanZoo You might not be holding the scoop coater correctly against the screen.

  • Im looking on buying your kit as compared to the YUDU because it just seems more durable, however i want to get an extra screen that is bigger in size, with that being said what would be a good size mesh for small print and detailed work? Thanks in advance cant wait to start silk screening!

  • @skoolboiedd The higher mesh counts enable you to do more detail but it's all a balance. 156 and 200 are good counts to start with. For really fine detail you're going to want to go with 280 or 305. Glad you're excited!

  • If i was just going to print a simple font (font size approx 2 inches ) across the chest part of the t-shirt , what size mesh count would be ideal, thanks

  • @cityrag I would recommend 156

  • Lol and beyond!! I might just buy we r makin shirts kinda

  • very detail Thanks for video

  • This is a bit of a noob question.. If the hobby kit includes one screen, and after you've exposed an image onto it, can you re-use the screen with a new image?

  • @pinkukki yep, you just have to "reclaim" the screen by removing the stencil.

  • @pinkukki You sure can, it comes with the chemicals to reclaim it

  • There is a brand new Twitter linked with Ryonet called RyonetSolutionsTeam. We will be tweeting dates and locations of places that we will be traveling to all over the country. It will be a great way to stay connected with Ryonet and silkscreeningsupplies on all the new and exciting things we come across! Also check back right here for more videos coming soon!

  • what kind of printer is that? i need one. how much is it?

  • Its the epson 1400, check it out on our site

  • @adijuss Check the description of the video for all that info.
