Do I have to have amber lights like you have while my screen is pre-exposed? I see a lot of people have normal lighting and their screens are coming out fine.
Can you screen onto wood that is concave like a skateboard deck, or does the surface you want to screen on have to be flat against the wood? Or, can you not print on wood at all, just cotton t shirts?
I really love how Ryonet finds time to comment on every post! That's what customer service is all about! This is the best company i've ever delt with!
Question on making the transparency. I have not been impressed with how black I can make a transparency on an ink jet or laser printer for PC board exposure and developing. Is it less critical for silkscreen emulsion? Do you have a recommended printer/transparency?
@Probedude2000 Nevermind, I see from your website you sell ink. Is this a 'must' have for just fooling around? (not looking to go commercial with this)
@Probedude2000 Probably not. You can print two copies and stack them on top of each other or even run it through the printer twice to get something darker.
@Ryonet Thanks much! My laserprinter doesn't feed accurately enough to feed in 2X (not for PC board work that's for sure), but stacking 2 prints I can do!
Im looking on buying your kit as compared to the YUDU because it just seems more durable, however i want to get an extra screen that is bigger in size, with that being said what would be a good size mesh for small print and detailed work? Thanks in advance cant wait to start silk screening!
@skoolboiedd The higher mesh counts enable you to do more detail but it's all a balance. 156 and 200 are good counts to start with. For really fine detail you're going to want to go with 280 or 305. Glad you're excited!
If i was just going to print a simple font (font size approx 2 inches ) across the chest part of the t-shirt , what size mesh count would be ideal, thanks

This is a bit of a noob question.. If the hobby kit includes one screen, and after you've exposed an image onto it, can you re-use the screen with a new image?

You will need to have a screen for each image you want to print unless you want to reclaim the screen between each print.

Thank you.
7KevinTKD 3 months ago
@7KevinTKD with the supplies that come in the kit, around 40 or so, but you can easily get more ink and print thousands!

Just remember that unexposed emulsion cannot be exposed to UV light or it will be ruined. follow that rule and you will be fine.

@FelixBarre It is, the only problem is that it is not consistent so you exposure times will change slihgtly.

FeatSkateboards 1 year ago
@FeatSkateboards You can though it is not as easy as a shirt, you have to get very good at it with larger screens and different ink.

@pinkukki yep, you just have to "reclaim" the screen by removing the stencil.
Ryonet 1 year ago
@pinkukki You sure can, it comes with the chemicals to reclaim it
