I mean, how is your composition process? When do you know what pattern you should put where? Or is it mostly improvisation?

@diegochangos since I've never had lessons, I play 100% by ear and by feeling, so the way I write is just to improvise.. and "communicate" with the rest of the music with my drums. hard to explain! :)

@cobus Hey, you know? I've started playing at the age of 12-13 (now I'm 20) and I never had any lessons too. My approach to the drums are mostly melodical and Aaron Spears, Teddy Campbell or Mike Johnston's style-like. (Obviously in a more lower-basic-less relaxed way)...

...but dude, the "feeling" and freedom you've got is just...mind-blowin'.

@JesseTorresrules It just sounds awkward because the drum parts we're listening to were meant to go with the songs-so they're meant to add and accent the song. A lot of professional drummers' drum parts doesn't sound as powerful as it did in the song as when you hear it alone.
