  • want a job building those monitoring units?

  • You can create your own wind turbine to generate your own electricity. In that way, you are able to lessen your monthly finances.

  • what's if it is strike by lightning?

  • so, how many of these would you need to power your house for the evening if it were running all day while you were at work... I know that's a vague question, But how much could you pull a day on average? with 1?

  • Good job. It looks great. It inspires me to upload videos of my project wind turbine. It is a low rpm high torque design so the blades have to be designed a bit differently. I hope to upload some videos soon. It's too bad there isn't one site that we can go and share our experiments and designs. Our own research would be more efficient that way.

  • What kind of monitor is that? Looks like a Watts Up, but much cooler!

  • I custom built the monitor from scratch. It's not finished yet, but seems to work reasonably well so far. It uses a Microchip PIC 18F452, with software written in C.

  • Hi, " great stuff " . How is the batteries connected to the conrtoller? Would the rectifier out of a car work here? and how do you dump the power when the batteries are full ?

  • What company makes the monitor?

  • Forgive me since I don't know much about this stuff, but what could you power with the amount of energy you are generating?

  • Hi. The power is accumulated in the batteries, from there you can pretty much power anything. I use it to power some lights, a drill, a jigsaw, a 28" widescreen CRT TV, AA & AAA battery chargers.

At the minute it's limited by the inverter I have, which can supply around 700 Watts, so any appliance that is under 700 Watts can be powered from my turbine setup.

  • That's awesome. Thanks for taking the time to explain it to me. Very interesting stuff.

  • @turbineterry can u plz do a tutorial video on how to make one. i would really appriciate it.

  • good job...

  • smooth, well done, looks like good kit
