I wasnt supprised but i was mildly dissapointed when i noticed the the car had been launched from the air craft carrier. Honestly Top Gear we, the viewing public, arent stupid. At least try and cover it up a bit better next time. For example dont show the huge puff of gas from the car launcher (bit of a give away) =)

It is in fact fake, If you notice the large 'muffler' on the back of it, this is the same device fitted to stunt cars when they launch them off cliffs. If you watch the top gear episode about playing darts with cars, the machine hoists up the cars and with 1400 psi can launch them off the edge of a cliff, or in this case-- an aircraft carrier. This is why there is a puff of white smoke after the car leaves the ramp- its compressed air.

Just think for a bit. If there was even the slightest risk present of the stig not being able to stop (and they would've done all the calculations of stopping distance, etc), They would've had speed boats floating around the carrier with specialist divers ready to jump in!

It's painfully obvious guys, come on!

ok people, time for some logic....

at 2:05, you see white vapor behind the car. anybody remember the Car Darts episode with the big car launcher? that's what they're doing here. you can tell because you see the car in the water and it's got a big shaft tube in the back end of it. and 2, they wouldn't send a friggen human being, or whatever old stig was, in the water with a car lol. c'mon now........

he has proberley QUIT so instead of them saying the stig has quit they have given him a fake death,so when he went off the side of the boat there were probably life boats and alot of cortion but just blocked the life boats and stuff out the people on the Air ship wouldnt just sit and look over the side of the boat would they??thing about it.
