Those Doris Day-Rock Hudson movies weren't dumb. They're breezy, charming romantic comedies, and they're still enjoyable to watch today. And BTW, Doris and Rock made only 3 pictures together, though they both did similar movies with other co-stars.
Saw this film when I was 18. Met my boyfriend on holiday the Island of Jersey and went to stay with him and his family in London afterwards. He took me to the Odeon Cinema in Leicester Square and walked back along the banks of the Thames afterwards - it was very exciting to me at that age, we were very sweet in those days lol. I loved 10 Cents a Dance best of all.
Elegant lady, I will always love you....

Who came first Marilyn or Doris? I certainly see a lot of the affectations we come to associate with Marilyn, who copied whom?

It's a shame Doris Day was put into all those dumb Rock Hudson comedies. She was a great serious actress.

@scotpens - That's how I feel, too. They were really enjoyable, and Rock and Doris were extremely funny together!

This is the best movie of DD, but I love her in all. She's always great - in acting, singing, dancing, making faces and smiles and being mad.
