  • Thanks for posting this! Although it's a quiet song, it it evokes such vivid images of childhood wonder, innocence, and bliss, all spilling over into adulthood. He has so many songs that are gems.

  • Ne'r heard of Jesse Winchester before this, nor this song, but he did Yankee Lady real nice...he might need a little more of what Pete Seeger called "Sing Out" (vocals nearly inaudible)

  • I've never heard this song, or Jesse Winchester before...his vocals at nearly too low a level to make out ...though he did Yankee Lady real nice!

  • Ted Hawkins has the BEST cover of this - check out his stuff!

  • Dig it1 Thank you : )

  • I could listen to Jesse singing this song forever. I first heard it when I was at Antioch College in 1970. i am SO glad he's still singing it. Now i just have to hear him live! THANKS FOR THIS!

  • One of the world's best songwriters...Remembering The Yellow Door, Montreal '68-'69, and an old friend...agree that it's nice to see good videos...BR

  • This is one of my favorite songs EVER, love it!!
