I think he has a point here with this kit - power delivery all way. Thou if you want to crush competition in drag races the UGR is the way to go. I cant´ say what is best - think it depends on what you want to do with your tuned Gallardo. @BenqS42 If you want power go with underground racing. With VF engineering you can get a limited amount of power and if you want more you can't get any more out. With the underground racing kit you can get the stage 1 kit and if after a couple of years you want more power you can upgrade to a stage 2 or 3. And I think the VF kit is only for the gallardo. And the underground racing kit is turbo kit not supercharger. Prices vary from $59k 1000whp on race fuel to $129k with 1300whp on race fuel.

I believe that tunning a car is an engineering art. It has to be done right. And above all things it can't go against the product they work on. Although I would presume Ferruccio, would not appreciate what VF has done. This is the way Tunning is suppossed to be made. With class. @dufferego87 Like I've said, multiple times, the Gallardo and R8 are gear limited at 197 mph. That means that redline in 6th gear is 197. The Aventador has a completely different transmission that is designed with a taller top gear, good for 217 mph. If we're talking modified Gallardo's, the current record for a Twin-turbo Gallardo street car with a modified gear set is 253 mph, leaps and bounds beyond the Aventador's top speed.

However, although the Lambo has 560hp, 40 more than the detuned R8 V10, why does the engine note sound very muted compared to the lambo, is it because of a freerer floweing exhaust ??

@m6205 it's completely intentional. Lambo's are designed to be loud and brash and get attention. Audi's are supposed to be classier, more subtle. A lot of the power discrepancy comes from the more muted exhaust on the Audi.

@TheSmokingTire sorry, but you are wrong. Audi R8 V10's ECU is limited, it closes the throttles a bit before reaching the maximum HP, to reduce the HP to 525. The R8 GT hasn't got this ECU limitation... Audi's and Lambo's V10 are 99 % identical, both capable of 570 HP with the same ECU -< the same target HP on our test bench at Audi Hungária

There is the regular Gallardo, the Balboni, Bicolore, Superleggera, Spyder, Performante, Nera, and that's about all I can think of. The blower will fit on all of them.
