They look good but when you do them make sure you twist them alway to the end im a stud and i know we got to keep our hair up to part for the ladies im out
you should really consider latch hooking your locs if you want you roots to stay tight.. i usually retwist every two weeks but i started my first latch hook and i havent retwisted in a month and i can wash and not worry about them loosening up. my locs are only 31/2 mths old.. good luck studdy!
@803... stick with Mango and Lime. You made the right choice the first time. M&L is a pretty good product. Don't put too many different products in your hair because that could affect the way you locs mature.
ya locs fly, i cut a lil of my hair off around my sideburn so it can look similar to urs, but i think urs lookn good, n as far as da products, u use da same stuff i do!!!
By the way, what method did you use to start them? I read that comb coils unravel a lot fast and easier when exposed to any kind of moisture (i.e sweat, washing). I'd no from experience, the first time I dreaded my hair. But since then I've started them over myself; this time with double strand twists that won't unravel as easy.
wut i did to start my locs wasz a finger twist lol i couldnt get the hang of the comb coil method...&& i had my hair in two strand but i wanted to try sumthin different..&& im seein a lil residue so i might try the regular kind...thank u for all the information to ma ma....&& mine dont unravel when i sweat but they are the hardest to upkeep..but my hair gets fuzzy after a week tho
Your welcome ;] And yeah, I know what you mean about the whole residue thing because my old set (which I only had for 3 months until I took them out and started over because I didn't really like my sections), but yeah, I too HAD residue in mine due to the creme wax I think it was, but that's irrelevant now 'cause I'm going to try to ONLY stick to using gels and hopefully I wont have any issues with my new set of "soon to be dreads", since they still look like double strand twists now.
Hey, have you tried the regular Mango & Lime Locking Gel? I also use the resistant formula like you, but I just bought the regular gel yesterday (the orange one) and I actually think it holds a lot better than the resistant formula, so I think you should try that too. AND it doesn't leave any residues either, so that's always a plus. I think you'll like it.
