Great video! I have started cooking all breads at home, and at least now I know how to better knead a large batch of bread. I haven't messed up yet, but this did help out a lot! =)
I have a problem with how much flour to put into the kneading process. The dough keeps sticking to my hands while im kneading so I add more and more flour until it eventually becomes this dry and crumbly clump of unedible crap in the end =(
Great video! I'm sure the bread you make for yourself comes out just fine. Perhaps the "baker" should make a video showing how he does it. Again, thanks for the help.
um...I just made biscuits today and it told me to mix the 2/3 cup of milk and 2 1/4 cup of bisquiks mix in a bowl then after it was done u knead it 10x and I did...but it said knead it with a sprinkle of bisquik mix or something nad I did and it turned out all doughy and I thought that was enough and so I cooked it and it rised only a little.
what's the purpose of kneading anyways and after it was done it only rose a little
do I knead it with yeast or flour? I'm kinda lost...please help!
I'll have to try it her way. I usually start out with dryer dough and I can't get it to the right consistency and it comes out too dense at the end. Next time I'll add less flour at the beginning and add more to the kneading board and see how that goes.
Excellent video and explanations. I have had trouble with the dough sticking to my hands and thought i was doing something wrong. this really helped me understand the process. Thanks!
Im a baker and i must admit she does like to pile on the flour. I would only use that amount of flour when moulding or working with potato Bread or Soda bread.
When i make crusty bread or just a normal loaf i tend to use very little flour as it can dry up and make the dough flakey
I didn't realise that you needed that much flour to knead the dough. I was always afraid of using too much, so my dough never reaches that smooth bouncy consistency.
You are a great teacher. The elasticity factor was explained in a clear and concise way. I feel more confident to try to make my own bread now. Thank you.
I just made bread for the first time ever, and it turned out spectacular!!! When you
Make it yourself, you know what's going into it, and you always know how fresh it is. I never want to go back to store-bought!!

The great thing about cooking is that in most cases you can always try again.

Great explanation! I always read "knead until dough becomes elastic" but I'm never sure quite what I'm looking for. This was really helpful. Thanks!
