i think that in evil dead 4 he comes back from the past (cuz it didn't really show the present other than s-mart) but it is taken over by deadites. the main story happens 20 years later (our present time) and the deadites have completely taken over the world while the humans are used as slaves. meanwhile ash is imprisoned, and a small faction of humans lead a revolt, bust ash out of jail (of course no one in the faction has ever seen ash, they just pass on legends) and destroy the deadite empire

Great for a Fan's point of view of the Character Ash. Sadly though, Raimi wanted the trilogy to be more of a horrific grueling fantasy adventure, instead he just did 3 regular and unique horror films. It raises the question how Evil Dead 4 will be really like, now that he's got everything, will raimi film part 4 the way he intended to?

I don't know. Far from me to say Rami has no right to the series, but the humor of Evil Dead was what made me like it, originally because it was cheesy low budget horror, and after that because Bruce was so hilarious. The humor is what made Evil Dead stand out from the pack, and what garnered it's huge fan base. Certainly the horror was honest, but if he fell back on nothing but gore then ED4 would be difficult to distinguish for the forty other torture porns likely to be released with it.

A: That ending wasn't officially released.

B: Bruce is much older now, and it would be funny if it was like The Incredibles with him having to come out retirement!

That ending WAS officially released.

It was released in New Zealand,Australia,Finland,Chin­a,Japan and The UK.

In Finland,however they used both endings(with the S-Mart ending being a dream while Ash slept for 700 years)

I actually liked the third better then the first two. They kept getting more funnier to counterbalance the horror, making them more fun to watch I think.

Rami seemed to know which direction it was going. The first movie is subtitled 'The Ultimate Experience in Grueling Terror' but the third is subtitled 'The Ultimate Experience in Medieval Terror' XD

The theme I used is Danny Elfman's for Hellboy 2 actually. Danny Elfman also scored the Evil Dead movies.

Ash and Hellboy have a lot in common actually. Both are working class heroes who unconsciously make one-liners.
