  • 4:06 more like makind a deal with the devil

  • Hahhaha i love how this documentary tries to make the old scribe man look like the good guy the senator as a demon, this documentary is bull shit, Christianity had good points, it put en end to the Pagan ways of sacrifice but Christians were even more barbaric than pagans and their religion even today is just pathetic dogma that doesn't even make sense, history and one sided documentaries like this try to trick us into believing that Rome turning Christian was a great thing......

  • But if you look at how intolerant Christianity has been since it's existence it makes you wonder, Christianity makes no sense what so ever, there's evidence that many christian festivels and beliefs were stolen from other religions, Christmas was originally a pagan holiday, there are dozens of religions world wide that possess more spiritual truths, even many people today blame Christianity for Romes collapse, look at how intolerant christians are this documentary is bull shit.

  • @Evenson71 And still, tell me, how many of that other religions have endured more than 2,000 years?

  • @Reinellheart lol jewish, hinduish, budhism ect

  • @Reinellheart look at the jewish guys answer, there are loads of religions that have endured longer than the evil christianity, also another couple that guy missed were confucianism and taoism, christian longetivity was down to it's intolerance, arrogance and hate.

  • @Evenson71 The intolerance of Christianity is an aberration of the faith, not a foundation of it. All people of weak belief, Muslim, Hindu, Christian, Pagan, Atheism, "abuse" the beliefs of others. Obviously, the belief in a faith is itself the rejection of others, but Christ Himself calls for the toleration, of a guide to truth. It is the fundamental "Unknown God" that connects beliefs. Christians believe that this unknown God is actualized in Christ.

  • @Evenson71Chrisitianity isn't Evil, People are Evil, some times they use Christianity as an excuse or to gain power.

Christianity does not teach to hate, or be intolorent, all those things are human sins

The Empire turning to Christianity was for the Better, as Europe in times of need was united through Christianity and survived.

also Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism are not religions they are more of Philosophical spiritualities.

Pay attention in school and stop spreading hate

  • @AlexiusMoore Yes people are Evil and Christianity was guided by those Evil people (scheming Popes and others) and Christianity does not teach to hate or be intolerant? no offence Mate but what Planet are you on? even today you only have to look at how hate filled Benedict is towards other Religions, and the Empire turning to Christianity wasn't completely bad, the negatives far outweighed the positives, most ancient cultures in antiquity believed in sacrifices and such depravity..

  • @AlexiusMoore Christianity did do good things like getting rid of Child/People sacrifice but it did terrible things, it stopped peoples of the World from growing spiritually and made them slaves to stupid and childish dogma like the Eurachrist, Trinity, 1000 year old planet, Mary idolatry and other absurd beliefs, no other Religion in Human history has claimed more lives, it's the Religion that was resposible for the Crusades and thousands of other Wars...

  • @AlexiusMoore By the way Europe was never united through Christianity, this depraved faith promoted hate between the peoples of Europe, after Rome fell there was more Wars in Europe than ever, how can you say that? look at the 100 years war between England and France for crying out loud, i'm not spreading hate at all far from it, i'm just telling the truth about this evil religion.

  • @Evenson71 Europe was United by Christianity against the Invasion of the Moors, against the Mongol Invasion, and against the Ottomon invasion, They were all united by the Pope, without that, Europe would be a Muslim state speaking Turkish and living in tents paying homage to Mongol Khans. Europe was fighting with itself due to politics and greed, not religion

Christianity does not believe the world is only a 1000 years old, why u lying to try and prove a point, its pathetic and insecure

  • @AlexiusMoore Europe wasn't united under Christianity, Europe WAS united under this fantastic Empire, Britain, France, Spain, Italy, Greece and all the smaller lesser Nations as well, Europe united under Rome beat back the Huns, the Persians and countless Germanic Tribes, the Popes never united anyone, they were more interested in their debauched little Orgies than they were saving Europe.

Europe was fighting with itself because of Christianity it absolutely was dude......

  • @AlexiusMoore Europe fought with itself for Centuries because of Politics and Greed yes but Christianity played a major part, the differing Christian denominations fought with each for years, like when Henry the eight told Rome to piss off, so he got Spain to invade them, and Christians did teach the World is 2000 years old or something like that, Christianity tought anti-science and anti-truth, Christianity is the sole Reason why People in the West today are so immoral/Atheistic.

  • @Evenson71 Christianity has never been anti scientific, the Pope had many fallings out with the community so he tried to turn, all christians against them.

Bible doesnt Date the world, Scholars try to figure it out and have got over 200 different estimations, so clearly its anyones guess as its an unknown to us.

People in the West Immoral? and thats Christianities fault?? or is it peoples fault.

Whatever grudge u got againt christians is clouding ur judgement of the world

  • ands its amazing how much that christian scrib used his religion to "gain power" for his people (i.e. christians). Constantine used his religion just as much as the scrib used his Constantine with his religion.

  • I look down the comments for this video and I see Christianity and atheism attacking each other without mercy. Why do some people find it so difficult to simply be tolerant of other people's beliefs? To be tolerant is not to adopt their beliefs as your own, so what's the problem?

I say this as a Christian

  • @englishfrenchgerman Sadly when two sides cant agree they usually end up fighting each other.

  • @englishfrenchgerman Cause they are both a bunch of arrogant idiot who think they are the best

  • Kill in the name of Jesus! Kill in the name of Allah! Only the names/dates have changed!

  • Christianity is the biggest Religion today because of Constatine he built Constatintiople which is named after him,he build Saint Peter's Basillica, and made the Roman army march under the banner of God

  • No he wasn't he worshipped the unconquered sun, and tried to mix it with Apollo and Jesus, thus mixing all religions of the time to avoid another civil war. The man was a genius, but not a clear christian, he mixed everything but favored the sun god and apollo

  • 7:41 Cut the apple!

  • @SlaveOfCrist I am 100% behind you

  • @SlaveOfChrist I am 100% behind you

  • @Laz24 About the thing that you said about others force thier beliefs to other and which if they didn't convert they would be killed. Well not to try and get into ur negative side but the Musilims put pressure on the people to convert to Islam and if they didn't convert they would make "EXAMPLES" of people if they didn't convert but it is true what you say for there were Christian leaders who used it as a weapon. (I am also a Christian)

  • Hmmmm i think it was napoleon who said that religion is good stuff for keeping people quiet lol

  • I miss the old pagan Gods. Even though I am a Christian, the idea of ANY faith completely disappearing is abhorent to me. I rather wish people still worshipped the Roman and Greek Gods. It would make the world a more interesting place.

  • @louthegiantcookie You bring up a thorny issue. On the one hand, at its best, paganism was still rife with things like human sacrifice, which was practiced even in cultured Rome and Greece. On the other hand, it still fostered an awareness of a higher power, as it were. C.S. Lewis, who wrote the Narnia stories, said something interesting. Before a man can be a good Christian, he sometimes has to be a good pagan; kinda like what you say. A post-Christian culture lacks awareness of moral absolutes

  • @idontgetno @idontgetno Here's the thing though, even if the pagans sacrificed human beings it was a small price to pay to live in a world full of faith, full of wonderful diversity. The issue I have with Christianity is that it preaches love and tolerance. Those things are not positive. The world is at its most beautiful when inhabited by a vast array of ideas and cultures and philosophies. No one faith should ever dominate the others, it's the spiritual equivalent of globalisation.

  • @louthegiantcookie Completely disagree. Human sacrifice is not a "small price to pay." it is the final barbarity. People harsh on religion when it costs lives; the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, honor killings, suicide bombers; and deservedly so. Making burnt offerings of people is that much worst, whether it was the occasional rarity, or the daily frequent occurrence, like the Mayans and Aztecs did.

  • @idontgetno But think about how boring the world would be without all that bloodshed. Unity and peace are such dull ideals. You see, in all likelihood there is no God. All logic points to him being completely imaginary, so life is pretty much meaningless. We're just hairless apes aimlessly wandering around a spinning ball of mud.

All we can hope for is an interesting, exciting life. And the most exciting things are often derived from lunacy, pain and horror.

A peaceful Utopia would sicken me.

  • @louthegiantcookie I bet you're not a soldier. Just idealise it.

  • @jquixlo Not really. But have you ever considered what peace would mean? It would mean that no one could hold an opposing philosophy or idea. Ever.

Peace is an ideal that is contrary to human nature, because it seeks to rob us of our individuality, free will and ambition. All the things which make us human inevitably cause conflict. My point is that we should stop seeing this conflict as a bad thing and learn to accept and embrace it.

We can't stop violence and hatred, so why feign outrage?

  • @louthegiantcookie I don't agree with you on principle, I'm in favour of regime change. But don't talk about in such a childish; calling it exciting, people who fight and die would find it terrifying; just because it's necessary and innate doesn't mean you have to take glee in it.

  • @jquixlo I have to ask, in a world so brutal do you REALLY care if other people are having a hard time? I am truly baffled by your attitude, mainly because I see it so often. I really wonder if you feel genuine compassion for all the people who fight and die, or do you tell yourself to feel pity for them?

I spent years torturing myself, trying to care and always failing. At least I'm happy now, I can accept the fact that it's okay not to care, it's good to be selfish.

  • One god, one empire! That was so sweet when I heard it.

  • What's up with the fezzes???

  • 5:35-5:44 I love that part

  • NOOOOOOOOOOO, WHERE IS PART FIVE!?

  • The senator and the scribe almost seem like the devil and angel on Constantine's shoulders.

  • Where the heck Is Part 5 Damn it ?

  • Christianity spreads like a virus!!

  • @Laz24 That's the way of all new beliefs. Christianity, Islam, Baha'i, Nazism, Marxism.

  • @idontgetno I find it funny how so many believe that something holds truth to the creation and function of the mankind yet it was somehow "discovered". hey can they believe it is true if it wasn't apparent from the start?

  • @idontgetno nazism/national socialism / marxism/communism are ideologies in my mind

  • @samullel well...yeah. Beliefs, ideologies, principles, creeds, philosophies; sort of a broad category for "worldview"

  • @idontgetno, atheism, multiculturalism, anarchism, liberalism...

  • @thepredatorpl Even so. As a comparison, any system or category that one may study, as diverse as forms of electromagnetic energy, or animal species; one will find that the diversity and complexity is amazing.

  • @thepredatorpl ... atheism is the absence of belief in deities ... nothing more. It's less a religion than it is a simple category.

  • @Laz24 Wrong, Mankind already has a virus, Christianity spread like a remedy. Even though many have used the name of Christ for disgusting purposes, they shall all be judged.

  • @SlaveOfCrist That is your opinion buddy. I and many others disagree

  • @Laz24 Facts and opinions are totally different things. You see, you have an opinion that Christianity spread like a virus when in fact it never did spread like a "virus". Evil men used Christianity for their own purposes but that doesn't mean that they were really Born again. When Christianity truly spreads it brings remedy, like it did when the primitive church began. There was love for each others neighbor, each shared their belonging's with one another, there was persecution against them.

  • @SlaveOfCrist Fact is not everyone shares the Christian values and beliefs. How many innocent lives have been lost threwout history simply because they didn't believe in the Christian God or belived in him in the same manner as the status quo? Christianity is not for everyone and same can be said about every other religion. Can you say there is love for each others neighbor today? lol NO has there ever been? Not really. Good, Evil are nothing more than a point of view.

  • @Laz24 See what you're doing? You're trying to blame the history of wicked men labeling themselves as Christians to God and his son Jesus. You're also categorizing their wickedness with all "True" Born again believers.Christ said that the thorns will grow with the wheat (False with true).Let me add, just because there is not love for each other today or ever been doesn't disprove anything,it actually proves what the scriptures say in Romans "All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God"

  • @SlaveOfCrist . People such as yourself who want to try and covert everyone they see to their way of thinking. Take your holier than thou bullshit and go somewhere else...not everyone wants to hear it. I stick to what I said originally that this religion was spread like a virus by Constantine and others whom tried to force their belief down everyones throats and killed them if they didn't convert. Most converted out of fear of being murdered in the name of god. So eat shit...FAIL!

  • @Laz24 When you stand before God on the day of judgment you won't be able to blame constantine for your sins.Constantine had nothing to do with the the new covenant.Jesus the Messiah came as the promised Messiah to save the world from damnation and give us forgiveness and adoption as sons of God.If you wanna go ahead and try to blame your unbelief on a guy you never met like consantine who wasn't even a real Born again believer than thats up to you,but you're throwing away your life for eternity

  • @SlaveOfCrist Typical Christain repsonse. Who are you to tell me what my future is going to be? ( FYI someone you've never met!) People like you make me sick, you know why that is? I'll tell ya for the hell of it. It's because you and others like you go around condeming people, telling them how they should live their lives and act like your better than them. What makes so fucking great? And don't say it's because of Jesus and the bible!! That excuse wore thin centuries ago.

  • @Laz24 You err in your own pride. I didn't give you any "typical christian response". What I write or speak I speak from my heart and by the grace of God who dwells in me. I never even gave you hint of me being better than you, but your pride in which you are drowned in can't take the truth that we "NEED" salvation. There is no other name under heaven by which Mankind can be saved but Jesus Messiah and if that has an aroma of death to you then I feel sorry for you. I know where God took me from

  • @SlaveOfCrist WOW, you speak of pride lol what about yours? you come on here and stating that the human species "NEEDS" salvation and that we can only be saved by god. What arrogance!! according to YOU the Christian beliefs are the only truth and everyone else is wrong...I Don't think so!!! this world is for EVERYONE and all beliefs not just your christian point of view.

  • @Laz24 Think what you want. Your blood is upon your own head. The Gospel will be preached to all the world and then the end will come and the kingdom of God will be established in truth and righteousness at the coming of Jesus Messiah

  • @SlaveOfCrist and bud god didnt make us slaves as of what ur name states we were given freedom

  • @Blazethebest3 That's not what I read in scripture. The word says that we're either servants of sin or servants of God and servant is another word for slave in the greek. It's just that in our generation we don't like to submit to authority because it glorifies independance.Being a slave to God is freedom. The only true freedom is in slavery to Christ.Just look at the greetings of the Apostle Paul in almost all his letters he calls himself a servant or a bondservant of Jesus Christ which is a slave

  • @Laz24 Trust me, I'm immune.

  • @Laz24 Christianity is a virus of the mind.

  • @Nonamearisto that is no christian wt they doing is againts wt jesus tell. cuz u know he didnt said that obey me. jesus said only his father.. wt rome did is fake christian. its like a fox wearing a coat of a lamb. the rome real purpose is to control power not peace

  • "and then there were two"

LMAO i felt like im watching survivor,4 emperors,1 survivor =P

  • There is no way Lactantius would have promised Palpa- er- Constantine with UNLIMITED POWER!!

  • You know with the way they portray the scribe it seems a little ironic. What I mean is that it's ironic that through out the Old Testament and New Testament keeping your word is stressed a great deal but here we have a man saying to the emperor of the west to betray the pact he has made in order to spread Christianity.

  • 6.25 couldn't have said it better

  • So Constantine embraced Christianity b/c he was power-hungry as hell and wanted to be like a God himself? Wow, how romantic. - _ -

  • @PrUnEJuIcEtHeThIrD yeah when nero took the money from the temples of the gods, they say that he was a heretic, now this one is a hero?????? bAAAAAAHHHHHHH.

  • @antropopellazgu bAAAAAAAAHHHHHH??? You mean BBBWWWAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!

  • @PrUnEJuIcEtHeThIrD They make it sound as if Constantine converted the empire's official religion to Christianity, which he DID NOT DO! Theodosius did that decades later.

  • 04:03 That old guy reminds me of the Devil tempting Jesus during the 40 days and nights business.

  • @Kelly14UK LOLOL! Yes, when Satan takes him on top of a mountain and offers him all the kingdoms of the world! It's very odd and sinister, isn't it? With a hint of "Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Führer!"

  • @hearts0ngs Yeah, I know. I'm sure we all noticed it. It shows why Christianity became notorious in the end.

  • This was the hardest part of Rome Total War: Barbarian Invasion.

  • costantine was trying to give an order to god ... by that time i guess everybody with power was a god

  • the scrib the old gray hair man that helped turned constantine to christ? what is his name? what info or texts did he write?

  • In a Galaxy not so far away in a time not so long ago Lactantius is Palpatine and Constantine is Vader. The Eastern Roman Empire is the Galatic Empire, Rome is the Death Star and Constantanople is the Rebuilt Death Star. The Gauls, Celts, Franks, and all the other Pagan Euro Tribes are the Rebels, and the furry little Romanians are the Ewoks... We had no Luke Skywalker, No Chewy or Han No R2 or C-P30 and the Empire and its its evil religion washed over the entire planet... we lost they won.

  • They never agree with anything the senate

  • @amnesiaraver a bit like todays politics XD

  • i thought the 13th apostle was called rufus? lol

  • I always liked Constantine. But this "proves" that he was even madder than Nero!

  • at the 4th minute mark I had to laugh... it was ALL about Constantine & NOTHING to do with CHRIST. He did it for himself, not the CREATOR... Constantine took credit or himself.

  • @eatatmargos well he was said to be pretty arogant. Years after the battle he had a statue to Sol Invictus raised and had his own face put on it.

  • Are heaven and hell places within the universe? Are they real! I believe in neither western ideas!

  • @Matokew there is no heaven hell as a place... the scriptures talk about only 1 thing mans one to one relationship with his maker. The texts were written in a language of this world as they had no other way to depict a sensation as you cant pass another person a feeling its not possible since everyone is different. Accordingly heaven and hell is the sensation of perfection or the sensation of shame BUT ONLY with respect to God and has nothing to do with what we perceive in our 5 senses.

  • @Matokew heaven and hell aren't originally western idea's. they originate from zoroastrianism, one of the first monotheistic religions founded in modern day iran.

  • @Matokew They are more a state of mind than anything else. We can observe this in the present, no need to wait till afterlife. Next time you feel strong anger, look into that feeling and know it. It's pretty painful. Again, next time you feel expansive love, go in to it, and feel deeply. It's pretty good. Even if there are realms that we can be born into as such, those respective states of mind will predominate there, in any case. And just like those states of mind, they are TEMPORARY abodes.

  • there you go Christian preaching once again brings an end to everything, religions are nothing but good tools to make money and have power, lately also used for sexually abusing male children in churches by priests. The things they do for God LOL

  • @vombastic Truly I say to you, they shall burn in hell. The Catholic Church was created for Hell bound pagans and pedos!

  • @vombastic Well Damn You!

  • @razorsharpview9090 grow up dude. See what is going on in the world.

  • @vombastic

I agree, thats why religion is man made but to have a spiritual relationship with the father the son and the holy spirit is what a TRUE Christian is. GOD warns about the wolves disguised as sheep! The only way you know a wolf from a sheep is by the way they conduct themselves. But with the priests molesting children i know how that makes churches look...BAD!! GOD is not man though he is no liar everything in the holy bible is TRUE. GOD gave us choice and 1 day we will have to answer

  • Were these Balkan hats really used in the army? I thought they were only used among augusts and caesars during Diocletian (because of his Balkan heritage).

  • So did they legalize any religion, but not get rid of slavery?

    Hm. :/

  • Sidious...the dark side ruling in the background...

    Damn...

  • i feel really bad for him. he wasnt excessive, he wasnt a drunk, a pervert, or a sadist. he tried to genuinely help the people of rome, gave the senate back its power, and they all turned on him because he was a christian. fine example of how the world treats christians. real troublemakers, arent they? the world is so backwards.

  • @xarchangelx1620 he didn't just become Christian he forced over people to be to

  • At 5:44 Constantine really looks like Hitler lol

  • @AlexOfMacedonAOMH i'm an italian fascist and in rome we hate costantine!we love maxentius!

  • @sterminio1933 you guys should hate the pope as well then right? personally I think you should take the vatican out of the game... it is really restricting Italy.

  • @vombastic I lol at your bigotry.

  • Christianity, was destroyer of cultures

  • @ViR2 conquest destroys cultures. And conquest has been practiced to one extent or another by every tribe, race, language, and faith.

  • I believe that Arch that was dedicated to Constantine is still standing today. Hope to see it one day.

  • 6:25 Tell 'em Constantine!

  • OH! He was the one who built the St. Peter's Basilica.

  • Thanks for the upload great channel btw
