  • Nice! thx~

  • Hello again Taz, just been looking at this overclock vid now, I just set mine at 672 instead, you can tell the difference straight away just clicking through menus it runs much quicker, havent watched tv on it yet, but I shall : - ) good old 10.2 flash, are the any like drawbacks to this overclocking will making the phones brain/cpu/computer work faster give shorter lifespan? I mean the warrenty went for a jog installing 2.3 oops

  • @new3c57 It will not give it a shorter lifespan.

Highest stable clock speed is 729 Mhz (for me atleast)

If you still have the warranty and shit happens to your phone just do everything you can to try and restore it back to 2.1 and then try use warranty : )

  • This may sound like a retarded question, but what are the benefits of overclocking? And can something bad happen if I do it?

  • @edinchezz It was just a normal question from someone who wants to know more :D

When you overclock it the CPU will be faster and that will result your phone to be faster (best simple way to explain)

If you overclock It too much It can make you phone a little unstable sometimes. I just overclocked a little and made the phone less laggy

  • @TazBazMagic Ah, I needed just that! Thanks man, appreciate it.

  • @edinchezz Damn, I'm having a problem. I installed 2.3.7 and Cyanogen Mod just like you said in your tutorial, but when I click on "Max CPU frequency" it only shows the window title and the Close button, not the options. I think I did have the options after installing Cyanogen Mod when they seem to have disappeared. What can be the problem?

  • you set it to 691MHz, what happens if i tick on a higher option... you see i just got this and well it's not reading my SIM card, nor anything like wifi or bluetooth and when i chose 691 MHz then i was able to use wifi (havent tried bluetooth yet)

  • I have and x8 and i doesnt show the option to go further 600 mhz. how did you do it?

  • @ninjarestifol there is a option right below where you choose the MHz that says "overclock" select it first

  • thank you s0 much...br0....n0w my x8 running faster ;D
