Just did Naxx tonight.

Not sure if it was a bug, but we all just stacked on Live Side, the gates opened after about one minute and the dead side came over, we burned them down, and then we roflstomped Gothik.

No its not a bug, its the "fun way" many guilds do it now since every one is so much better geared now. Personaly I have 54k Full buffed as a Warrior tank, and I have no dps under 5k in my guild, in AoE phases every one is over 12k dps. So its fairly easy the way you describe :)

This is was the first time I did Gothik: the WHOLE raid gathered in a corner in the first room. Killed anything that came. Then Gothik jumped down and we just nuked him down. Very easy not complicated at all :P

Just to pick up on what Ciderhelm said about the mobility, I've been a healer, and now I'm a ranged DPS, and seeing your charging and TC'ing is just sexy. Nothing like seeing a tank locking everything down and letting us AoE/heal in peace.

Exactly my thoughts, I'm a healer, but also have a Paladin , Death Knight and Druid tank, but none look as nice as a warrior charge + TC/Shield slam mobs that are on the loose.

What we do, is we have our Warrior Tank on the Live side, and Me (pally tank) on Dead cuz pallys rock undead. On the dead side we ahve everony push against a corner so they have to come to us so i dont miss any. Works very well

Fights a bitch but go in with vent and a good team build you should be able to down him first run.

Just put ot on live dead side will get to be a mega bitch specially with dk tanks. Usually hard for us to pop non stop aoes and keep aggro on attacks.

when i did the 10-man version of this. i could really see how easy tanking with a death knight is. im a warrior and i had to run to where to mobs were collect them together, and so forth. but with the DK on the other side he just stood in the same spot and pulled them straight to him lol.

step 2: kill boss really fast. If you're too slow, roll your face on the keyboard faster.

Our guild does this raid weekly, we failed on gothik a couple times trying the split team method, So we thought since we only had 1 tank (Me, Prot pally) in the team this raid as none of the other tank guildies were online. I thought we should just all stand in the living side and take both sides when they come which worked really well, no one died no one else got agro except me cause all my undead spells, was gonna record it but didnt have fraps up next time we do it il record and upload try it

Question: Say the entire Undead slaying team stays in a corner. Would the healers from the Living side get aggro from the Undead guys while the team is waiting for them to go towards them? Because I know that the mobs can walk through the fence.

One thing to note, if either side dies after the adds stop spawning it resets his debuff back to 0 stacks which lets the 5 man group from the other side potentialy take him down.

If either side dies during the adds phase you get both sets of adds one group and your just screwed.

This is not too big of a dps check as more of a positioning, protection fight. Live side dps needs to be controlled while making sure healer doesn't take damage. We put more dps and heals on dead side(4 live, 6 dead). Dead side is a dps check.

Healer and a ranged dps who can keep mobs off healer in the corners helps a lot.

My guild and I 8 manned this when none of us had ever been here before. Our leader d/ced and a mage left. So we figured, "What the hell, lets give it a shot." Most of us werent very well geared and we still managed it.

Pala tanks owns in dps :D atm I do around 1600 dps when fighting around 4 mobs at a time, at boss fights it goes down to 1300 dps. As for this boss I had no problems at all with a pug. We had 1 healer 1 tank and 3 dps at live side and the rest at dead side.

No offense... but that's not very good dps... on my rogue i do about 2400 dps as combat... we have a mutilate rogue that does around 2600... because his weapons are better... so 1300 dps on a solo target is nothing to brag about

But you are dps specced as a rogue class he is a tank. Of course there dps might be less then impressive then majority of people in a raid. No offense but 2.4k dps is less then impressive as a rogue I know a rogue that does upwards of 3k. So 2400 dps is nothing to brag about.

Well even though i didn't see the tank part that's still not high dps... Our prot pally does really good dps compared to that... Especially in Naxxramas where everything is undead... Pallies do awesome damage vs undead and our prot pally pulls around 2-2.5k in this fight... because of the consecrate damage... and im not a retard... just misread something... and now on my rogue i don't go below 3k dps just about ever, since i got Calamity's Grasp...

In 10, it's FAR more fun to just keep everyone on live side, then aoe down dead side once the gate opens. It's not hard, either, we did it in crap gear in our first naxx reset.

I honestly don't see why you rate this boss as so difficult, it's one of the easiest in my opinion.

This boss is piss easy... Why do you think you need to have downed Thaddius to kill him...? A pug group I was in got patch to 50% before timer enrage downed him with no problem. Not a DPS race at all...

Since we downed Patchwerk, my guild has had very little trouble with this boss. We wiped on our first go, but mainly due to too much DPS on the live side, so too much was stacking on the dead side. But once we sorted that out, he was a piece of cake! Tank N' Spank on each side, merge group, nuke him down.

this boss is easy loot, first time we did him we 1 shot him. I think it was also our 2nd night in naxx when we did this. we normally have 1 tank, 1 healer, and 2 dps on live side; and 1 tank, 2 healers, and 3 dps on dead side.

We did this boss as an undergeared guild, downed second time as we had no idea of what we should be doing. We had one healer on the living side and two on the undead. The healer on the living side we really undergeared. This was the second boss we downed in there. We only got Loatheb and Maex a few days after.
