Urban Meyer is a great coach but for whatever reason when i think of florida, i still think of darth visor roaming the sidelines. What a great game! This is why college football is the BEST sport in the world.

Up until the 2006 South Carolina - Florida game, this was the most beautiful game ever played in the Swamp. This is now the 2nd best game ever played in the Swamp. The 2006 South Carolina game and this one were the 2 most identical games I have ever seen in the Swamp as far as both teams going back and forth until the very end. Unfortunately for us, we didn't have a chance to win any titles so the 2006 game is slightly ahead now because of the significance of that game and the final snap won it.
This loss hurt so much....I think that was the best FSU team minus the qb. To make matters worse the noles beat the best gator team in 96 but they luckly got a rematch because of the bs way bowls were setup back then.
This was the best game I saw in person while attending UF. It was also the last game I saw in the swamp. Graduated the following May. Man, thanks for sharing. Brought back some good memories of the ole "Fun & Gun" offense and Stoops defense.
This was a great game to watch, I wanted to Florida State to win this game. Soon as Janikowski did the gator chomp, I knew the Gators were going to win this game. This was a great day of football for me got to watch Michigan/Ohio State and this was the next game which is a classic. Wish someone would have a the full game.

Curiously, I seem to recall seeing an Alabama player doing the Gator Chomp after they won the SEC Championship game this year... I guess we'll have to wait and see.

On NCAA 2004 and NCAA 2005 I remember they have a special thing called Pontaic College Classics and they have this one on there and they call it "The Greatest Game ever played in The Swamp"

This was the first UF-FSU game I witnessed, and what a game it was! The Gators had been trailing the whole game, but kept fighting and fighting. I was 17 at the time. My dad and I went together and the rest of the family didn't come that year. I can't watch that Johnson to Green pass without tears coming to my eyes. This was without question the best game I have ever witnessed and remains to this day the only time I've ever seen the UF students try to rush the field.

I got to see one ball game the entire time I was in Iraq. I graduated from FL and so of course got to watch my Gators lose on a last second TD Hail Mary. I think Florida ended-up on the FSU 33 when the clock ran out. That was November 2003. Even though FL has dominated lately....for years it was the Seminoles with the upper hand.

Thanks. I try to be. Gotta laugh through the hurt they say. I try to laugh it up in these hurting years for us, and maybe someday, both teams will be top 10 teams again and this rivalry will determine the national championship like it did in the 90's.

I got to see one ball game the entire time I was in Iraq. I graduated from FL and so of course got to watch my Gators lose on a last second TD Hail Mary. I think Florida ended-up on the FSU 33 when the clock ran out. That was November 2003. Even though FL has dominated lately....for years it was the Seminoles with the upper hand.

Florida had no business winning this game. Fred Taylor literally beat us practically by himself in this game. They could have played this game 10 more times and FSU would have won them all. 97's team was probably better than both national championship teams from 93 and 99.

In the 10's. I don't remember off hand but we somehow lost in an upset to LSU and vs Georgia with lots of players injured.
Somewhere around 15-18 sounds right. I just don't remember, it's been a decade.

Was Andre Wadsworth in this game? i remember when that guy was supposed to be "potentially" the greatest defensive end ever...i just remember seeing alot of 98 nfl draft scouts saying he was the best player in the draft...and that draft included Peyton Manning...scouts saying he'd reach 20 sacks a year in the pros lol...nobody knows who the guy is these days...quietly one of the biggest draft bust ever

anyways this game = louder the whole game then when we blocked the USCe field goal in 06
