I was a very average High School wrestler (Heavyweight, which was 180 lbs+ at the time) and remember barely being able to walk back to the locker room at times. Even when I lost, I rarely got pinned, so it was 3 periods of flat out work. It seemed like every muscle in your body was spent. With heavyweight (I was @210 lbs) in a tournament - one guy could be 190lbs and the next 300 lbs. A great wrestling movie is "Vision Quest" - I think that they used Karelin as the model of the opponent.
