I have played that over at the Hilton in vegas the last 4 times I was out there. Each time I put 20 bucks in the machine. I won the first 2 but lost the second 2. Now the machine is gone

I've seen machines with the tax breaker $1199 jackpot in the Empress casino in Joliet, IL.

I used to win on them all the time!!

That was back in the 90's though.

They no longer have them.

They were few and far between...

I think the casino had only 4 or 5 of them. Perhaps they were paying close to 100%...

All or nothing. Dumb idea for a slot. If you ask me, the best idea for a slot is one no one has tried yet. I would make a "Tax Buster" slot that pays a maximum of $1199. Then make the odds slightly better to hit lower amounts by eliminating any higher pays (which usually never come up anyway).

Nothing worse than hitting a $1200 "jackpot" and having to not only pay state and federal taxes, but also wait half an hour for an attendant to pay you. And then you have to tip them too.

$5 WOF slot pays $1195 on one spoke. Add that to what you have in the machine and it's not taxable.

@beebec77: Got to figure the odds of catching the $100 winner is 1:105 if the Casino takes 5%. Would be a nice slot to play ONE game on, but definitely not one to play over and over again.

dont' laugh, u can hit something big on the 1st pull, i did it on a DBL $ machine after someone else put a few coins in & left, i put a 20 in & played 2 coins the 1st pull & hit $200 & cashed out, didnt even spin again so the next person that plays it could see it hit $200..well 15 mins later I'm looking for my buddy & there's a woman at the same mach with the jackpot lite blinking, she hit $1600 & only but a 20 $ bill in b4 she hit it she told me..so i left too soon on that mach!
