Thank you to the honor guards. They buried my father in Arlington cemetery in 1959, and they buried my step father in Arlington Cemetery in 2001. Thank you for the magnificent service and honor you give to soldiers you never knew. They guard the tomb of the unknown soldier every day..in the most horrendous weather. They are magnificent.

This year I had to be a Pall Bearer at a fallen soldiers funeral with AFJROTC. I couldn't control my tears. But I knew I had to keep strong because he defended us and I knew I'd be fighting someday. God Bless the Fallen. May you Rest In Peace.

@nsccpo2 I lost my older brother who was my best friend and my hero in VietNam. He came home 2x, the 1st time he changed into civies at LAX because he was booed and spit at. The 2nd time he came home in a coffin.
He enlisted and served as a chopper medic because he wanted to become a doctor. In one letter he wrote me "I have seen things NO ONE should have to see, don't tell our parents".
At 16, I was one of his pall bearers.
