Coincido en gran parte. Pero ojo con la gordura. Parte de la voz (solo una parte) nace de la caja toraxica. Pavarotti nunca fue flaco. Pero incluso podes comparar su voz cuando era mas flaco y cuando era mas gordo y notaras diferencias, sobretodo en la capacidad para sostener la nota por mayor tiempo.

En general suelen engordar, no adelgazar! jaja.

Sin duda uno de los mejores 5 tenores de los ultimos 20 años, junto a otro Argentino, Jose Cura, tan amado como odiado parece. Pero un grande.

This is the BEST "O Soave Fanciulla" since Caruso and Melba in 1906, period! This kiss at the end was a huge icing on a beautiful cake! Ms. Netrebko is outstanding, perfectly in tune and in character; marvelous soprano! Mr. Alvarez is perfect with soul and volumn in voice! Opera was for the common man and woman to enjoy; it was not created for the fake opera-snobs that tear a performer down because she (Anna) has over-the-top talent AND looks. Learn to sit back and enjoy it for what it is.

This is the sweetest, most intense rendition of O Soave Fanciulla since I heard the 1906 recording with Caruso and Melba! Alvarez is powerful and full, and Anna...sheesh, the voice so full and effortless, and drop dead gorgeous! And to top it all off, the lucky buzzard got to KISS HER!! Anna is a great singer and in addition a good actress, we should remember opera is a visual and vocal artform.

You can sing the notes perfectly but if you dont have stage presence you will loose the majority of the audience.

Mr. Alvatez has the good taste to take the last note down a fourth, so as not to blast the high C. I don't know of any tenors who can do the high C delicately enough to not break the spell of this aria. Perhaps Juan Diego Florez. Miss Netrebko is absolutely enthralling.

Wow, that was wonderful! Good question about the microphones.They're using microphones because it's not being done in an opera house. When you sing outdoors with an open space like that, you need microphones to give the audience the best performance possible. Also, if you think about it, these are some of the best trained singers in the world. If they didn't need a mic for this event they simply wouldn't use one.
