  • Hello, Keith! First of all, I would like to congratulate you on your very iinteresting videos. In this video, you pointed out some interesting things like you don't need to live in China if you want to learn Chinese. You can learn Chinese everywhere. This idea is a bit opposite to the English exchange programs offered by some Japanese private companies. If you want, we can talk about that. I am also living here in Japan. It would be nice to talk with on skype, for example. それじゃまた!

  • Keith, many years from now when you look back at your experience in

Japan, you won't be feeling bad about your Japanese. You'll view it as an exciting adventure that you had a chance to live in a foreign country. You can be glad about the opportunity to have this experience.

Who cares if someone doesn't achieve native speaking ability in a foreign language? Nobody is going to judge you on this. You're being way to hard on yourself.

  • @LearningFrenchNow

Thank you for your recent comments. Many years from now I'll still be in Japan, so my perspective is a bit different than yours. I have to consider my employability. There are not yet any age discrimination laws in Japan, and the discrimination starts quite early. While there's no way around that, I can at least do my best to reduce my weak areas. What this means is, I don't want there to be any jobs I can't do because of language ability. It's an excuse that gets old quick!

  • @KanjiKeith Keith, you should consider posting a video on the topic of why you chose Japan as your country of residence, and why you are deciding to stay there for a long time. I don't think your previous videos talked about your decision to expatriate, and it would be an interesting topic to hear your views on.
