I have one of these pre-ordered and can't wait to install it in my 2012 Jeep Wrangler. I've owned one Uniden in the past, and it was the best radio I've used. I'm no radio expert, but I do know the sound quality was superb and expect this to be even better.
Can't wait to try this one out, I just wish it was going to be available a little sooner. When I pre-ordered it, ETA was mid to late December... But it looks like it'll be worth the wait!
We are shooting for a late January release on the Bearcat 880. We have not announced the 980 (I know there are some leaks out there). We'll talk about it once it gets closer to production (and gets FCC approvals).

The Bearcat 880 is not a scanner, it is a CB. This video is about the CB.
As to any announcement, we make an announcement once product development has "matured" to the point where we are ready to make the announcement.
