I swear the makers of those were inspired by this game. The mech in ZoE even has a multi-shoot attack that targets multiple enemies just like Omega Boost.
A sequel would be nice, but let's face it: Ployphony is very much like square now. Except unlike square, their Gran Turismo series doesn't have its head up its ass like Final Fantasy does. But both companies milk their series for what they are worth. Also, Omgea Boost didn't succeed as much as Polyphony Digital probably wanted to and the story ended with the first one. but I'd sure love to learn more about Alpha Core's back story. Is it just an evil supercomputer? or another human army?
@Snow3103 = FUQUE YEAH! imagine omega boost 2 with the power of the ps3 multiplayer new bosses and levels ,GET TO WORK POLYPHONY , if you build it we will buy! dont change the music too much though
Gamma, it is impossible for me verbalize just how grateful I am that you uploaded this song alone, let alone the rest of this soundtrack. This was my absolute favorite track. I'm actually getting a tad teary. Thank you.
the game deserves a sequal, but no POLYPHONY is to busy with Grad Turismo games, why do i wanna drive around all pussy like in a car i may one day never own? i'd rather go around shooting robots in space in a giant robot siute i may one day never own.
hey uh mummy, you may not remember this, but u emailed me all the tracks from the game a while back. My mom thought it was a splendid idea to erase everything on the computer, so.....ya think u can send 'em again? that'd be greeeeaat. (PLZ?)
I'd love to see some stuff covering Omega Boost's story in greater detail, along with its mechanics, but it seems like they went for a more old-school route and just decided to have an easily identifiable pilot.
I watched on Wikipedia. They say that you start (in the opening) in 2100. But you get as you can see in the opening "back" to 2075 with a time-machine.
Nope. You're sent back a few years, I think it might have been two, but you're still not far enough. Which is why you're back in another time shaft in Zone 9.
the lady that sings in this song sounds like the chick who sings alot of ghost in the shell music. I love this ldays voice like i would marry her jus cause of it lol

If they re-released this game and all the did was add extra modes and some form of 2player co op I would jizz the viper boost technology.

keberTxelA11 1 year ago 2
@keberTxelA11 In one of the side missions, you do fight an Alpha Boost. Along with Beta and one other (Gamma? I hope so :P )
But, yeah. The orange one is Beta.

Actually alpha boost have been named BECAUSE it is a copy of omega boost made by the Alpha core Thus Alpha boost
hydremajor 1 year ago
Awesome song, such a surreal way to enter the final stage.
What was that light bulb circuit looking thing he was holding in his hand during the intro? What importance does it have to beating Alpha Core?
Thanks uploader i've been looking for this since '01 or '02
Dadamantastic 2 years ago 8
It was an old school transistor tube. Apparently replacing that one tube in ENIAC was enough to prevent Alpha Core from ever existing.

If I don't missunderstood...you play in the future, right? Which year is it in Omega Boost?
HyperSnow 2 years ago 4
Yeah, you definitely start in the future. As for the exact year, I'm not too sure, really. I think it was just short of 2100.
mummyheadGamma 2 years ago

HyperSnow 2 years ago 3
I think you exactly go back to 1946, after all you are pursuing the first computer ever in existence, which was ENIAC.
VendavalEste 2 years ago 2
Really? Sound damn interesting!^^ But don't you go back to 1946 in Zone 5?
HyperSnow 2 years ago 4
Nope. You're sent back a few years, I think it might have been two, but you're still not far enough. Which is why you're back in another time shaft in Zone 9.

IgnizNova 3 years ago 2
do you know the name of the song for the butterfly boss in last zone?
tsdvxdgfg 3 years ago
For the Japanese version, it's Shade by Feeder. For the US version it's Otsegolation by Static-X. I'm almost certain the European version has it's own song too, but I'm not sure what it is.

"Dreamer", by Cast.
