  • Lorca?

  • who is the boy that plays so well?

  • woman: this is really good ... no hit ? u serious? LOL :D

  • Amazing! This music puts my emotions and brain at work. I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.

And for the fluor heads: Please bugger off!

  • viva jerez

  • I love hearing the electric guitar fan boys talking, and then the flamenco fan boys. It's like xbox vs PS3. They are both good, however, they have their differences, but they are both guitars. But honestly, the ONLY people who have a say here, are those who have played both guitars and styles. If you have not, then you have absolutely NO weight to your words. If you have an issue with that, curse me out online, because it wouldn't happen in person.

  • @Sillyjake86 well said, luckily I play both styles and sometime combine them

  • bravissimo, ma come si chiama?

  • i brefer Mexican guitar

  • well mexican guitar is tha same thing as spain bcz guitars come from spain

  • no its not, yes the guitar started in spain but Mexico has surpass spain.

  • @christianz2010 mexicans are mixed with spainish

  • @SkipyWasHere mixed with frech spanish and lil bit of black in some parts, but we are not spanish

  • @christianz2010 i said MIXED with spanish i didnt say they are, ha:D

  • @dualtek1, are you talking about guitar music or the construction of the instrument?

  • well thats true but history its so confusing why north america and south america speak spanish and why the dance traditions are not the same as spain for example in mexico they called ballet folklorico and in spain they called flamenco

  • @dualtek1, two different dance styles. The culture of Mexico is strongly influenced by Indian [Aztec, Toltec, Olmec, etc.] heritage. The influence is apparently similar all the way south with what were once local Indian communities. History is fascinating if you can get to the truth of it.

  • esa rola esta rete bien suave

  • classy soloing on the edge of mind

  • He's playing the Rondena I guess

  • sí

  • what is he name ??? or more video ??

  • Magnifique , merci ;)

  • Great playing.

  • "Sucks" is not a word understood here. Most of the comments are from those who understand and appreciate this music. Critics generally congregate for the purpose of analyzing commercial works of art. This performance here was small & intimate, enjoyed by flamenco aficionados, 7 yrs ago. Therefore, your insults serve no purpose.

  • sorry everybody!.....i just read the replies to what i wrote and have realised that i wrote the wrong comment for the wrong video.......this is what happens when you watch many videos at once!....but if i were to say anything about this then it would be to say this musician is okay,i can hear he is still learning and finding his technique......he obviously is enjoying himself and that is the main purpose of music,to enjoy and be happy

  • This guy obviously doesn't know anything about music. This is a beautiful peace of music . . .

  • it's sad that you cant recognize the art skills and passion involved in flamenco

  • It's a different tuning, you twat.

  • talking about the tuning, isn't it por rondeñas?

  • I met Juan Pedro last March 2007 while attending one of the shows in the Jerez Dance Festival. He came to see a show of another artist from Arcos. He is currently living in Paris, and working there with his guitar. It is next to impossible to make a living with the guitar in Spain; and he is doing well in Paris. I also know his sister, and his guitar teacher JL Balao.

  • I'm glad to hear Juan Pedro is continuing to work with his guitar, even if it is in Paris. Perhaps on occasional returns to his homeland local Spaniards will be reminded of what they are missing! I live in California and wish I could hear players of his caliber here; I'd like to think they could do well here with audiences and earn enough to make a living.

  • ole muchacho es la flamenco puro aqui.

  • chan01 response: I'm from Jerez, I used to study guitar with Juan Pedro. The last I heard he was playing here and there for a quite well known flamenco fusion group called "Los Delincuentes", aside from that no idea, but I'm fairly sure he is in Jerez. The piece you recorded at the Taberna is a composition of his, mixing the style of the "rondeña" with the rhythm of the buleria. He was working on it when I was last taking classes with him (7 years ago!) No solo recordings of him to date.

  • hello.. thanks man..seems like ur so lucky to know a lot. im wondering if i can get good clean mp3 format for that song. do u know any web that provided we to download this song? i really appreciate if u could help me for me this.. im asian actually.. but i loved spanish music more than others. it is coz of amazing guitar technic and somber love song. i like it very much.

  • I was only quoting something another person told me. His username is "chan01." If you scroll down you'll see where he posted an earlier comment. I then contacted him directly; he replied, and I posted his comment as you saw it. If you want additional information from the source I recommend you contact him directly.

  • anyone please tell me the name of this song. PLEASE!!

  • What is this song anyway?

  • hey joe! this is really good!!

  • There is so much passion in Spanish guitar;0

  • wery good

  • The guitarist is Juan Pedro Pimentel

  • Tell me more! How do you know this musician... are you from Jerez de la Frontera?

  • Hey, can you anwer to Filbert... This guy is unknown and it's a genious ! This piece is like an eagle crossing the purple sky...

  • I don't know if he is out of tune, but I must say that the more I listen to this piece the more I think it's a true marvel. Who's this guy for god sake ???!!!

  • Wonderful artist!

    Keep on playin'!

  • deveras muy bueno!

  • Awesome!

  • Ele é muy bueno a mi ver, gostei muito do palo e alias, rondena não é pra qualquer um. Sem microfone tem que saber.

  • Well if you know at least a little bit about flamenco you'll realize this is not out of tune, he's using an alternative tuning for this palo. And yes you can play flamenco without a microphone, that is what is all about...

If you haven't gone to a juerga then you really just don't know what flamenco is.

  • yes, exactly!

  • That's why I play this kind of music, is because I don't have to drag a amp or mic around with me all the time.

  • hey, Caracolpower is responding to your comment AndreiKrylov, and I think he is right, iform yourself before criticizing.

  • That is a favourite video of "Flamenco Judge" ?

My condolences to this musician - plays without microphone in such a noisy place... and his guitar is out in tune...

  • This is a rondena, so it's tuned differently. You are just ignorant of possibilities of chords there are to use as a tonic chord...idiot.

  • Thanks...Where did I say that he is not good?

He is good! The video itself is not good. And to play in noisy place without mic is very hard too...And different tuning does not make guitar sounds like it is out of tune, it is just make it sound a bit different. You can hear that guitar is little bit out of tune after 1min. 40 sec. of this piece.

So what? It can happen with any guitar Not his fault. You can't stop and correct tuning when perform..Good luck and lots of gigs to him!

  • Ayayay, forgive me, I must have read your comment badly. I get so angry when people critisize flamenco without playing it , you know... Maybe I got blinded here :(.

And you're right, he is out of tune, I already knew that, but I thought you thought the Rondena modus was weird... My mistake :)

  • yesterday I played in club, in Ottawa, and it was warm inside, but outside was -25 and I was need to drive one hour (guitar was in cold, cold car)so when I played second song my guitar lost tuning - she don't like such temperature changes... warm-cold-warm

    Life is like that too.
