as an afghan i would like to say that this ia a good way to keep the locals busy ,make them frinde just spending 2 $ a day per person . i you dont do that taliban will offer some mony and put IED in the road and will cuese casualties.

so that will a good idea to spend a littlte mony and keep them busy. and you will know that who is not paticipating in this from this village . and you can easly determine what is he doing for living? is he working for taliban does he have other jobs.

It's clear that Afghanistan could only remain as it was if it didn't harm the outside World and 911 proved that wasn't so. So any attempt to change the status quo can only be done with blood spilt - sadly. No comfort to those whose blood is spilt but history may prove that, in the long term, that was the way things had to be. Have a good life my friend. and may peace come soon.
