  • No Sound..:-(

  • Hahajjajjjajajhahahha

  • The bastards, I watch this clip every year at this time

  • That was an amazing video when it had sound! It made me cry every time! who would be against trying to stop people from drunk driving? put it back up!

  • Why the hell would WMG mute a track that LTNZ already paid for? Of course, cause they're anal. Forgive me. >:-(

  • Hi there, I have submitted a copyright dispute under the fair use policy. Hopefully they will reverse the copyright mute.

  • You'd hope so, wouldn't you? Good luck with that.

  • @dano1nz I like this drunk driving message and the song went great with it. Any news about the dispute? Maybe you can find another song that goes well with the video.

  • @dano1nz

Guess it was a "no" eh?

  • @dano1nz I hope so. WMG has gone overboard with their claims, almost to the point of abusing them.

  • @electrogeek77 Sadly no luck with getting the audio replaced.

  • Wow... FUCK WMG

  • lost a friend,why cant i send this as a warning

  • Wow, powerful video essay.

  • I hope not the police commissioner, he's allowed to drive drunk, the puppet judge at the police whitewash authority says so.

  • thanks for putting that up !

  • very touching .........

  • whats the track?

  • The Cars - (Drive)

  • Thanks :-)

  • nice the transformers version...who`s going to drive you home...

  • oh my gosh!what carnage this music video

  • Oh my gosh. The one with the little girl just hurts me to watch

  • Cars should be fitted with speed limiters by now, max speed of 20mph in a 20 zone 30 in a 30 and 70 in a 70. The technology is there They have them in LGV's why not cars.

  • True in one aspect. But a car is just a machine. It is the operator that needs to be trained and take resposibility.I have been tempted to mount a camera in my car and start posting idiot driving on Youtube.

  • Your idea is most effective I believe. I would love a tailgater camera in my back window. Also I saw a motorcyclist go wheelie at aprox 85 mph on Interstate 95 here recently. Crazy here sometimes.

  • NZ uses a little thing called the metric system - you might have heard of it - it kinda makes the speed limits slightly different. Besides I presume LGV's (whatever the hell they might be) don't overtake. Please remember the world is a big place, strap on your seatbelt, cross your fingers and enjoy the ride.

  • LGV stands for Large Goods Vehicle and are limited to a maximum speed of 62 mph. Quite strange NZ uses the metric system while England Rules.

  • The big misconceptiion that NZ Police use in their accident statistics,is that if an accident involves speed and alcohol,it gets counted in both stats. How many drunk drivers give a rats how fast theyre going???

  • This is well done BUT alot of these adverts weren't about drink driving, they were about seat belts and speed.

  • There is a great mis-conception in NZ that these adverts lowered the road toll. Big difference between seeing something on telly and having viewed a decapitated body after a speeding drunk driver colided with a family in a car. You will find that NZ raised the cost of fines over the last few years and lowered the cost of more modern/safer cars in 1996. To date there have been more speeding tickets issued over the last 4 years than in the 10 years prior.

  • Yep,When Cullen says" We have a surplus from unknown sources" its fuel tax and speed camera fines.Pity it isnt poured back into the hospitals ,roads, emergency services, etc. But spent on nice taxpayer trips to Gallipoli,Pashendale, etc, twice a year.

  • Where's the original video? Totally *love* this song; butm I miss the original

  • is there any posibility i can get this clip onto my computer?? im doing a campaign for drink driving and this would help so much!

  • Who is going to tell you when its too late..

  • ahhh, has anyone ever seen that advert where you see someone being sick and you think its someone drink driving, and it turns out to be a fireman??

  • they*

  • yeh i gotta say heyv gone soft on ads for drink driving now, and the road toll isnt looking very good either. these more shocking ads did work back then, stupid PC crap!

  • Very well done thank you!

  • *tear* been in two countries since I was home, and the NZ ones are definitely the best, especially judging by how much the toll went down, shown in that vid, if it was accurate...

  • Wicked compilation. i wish the ads were all posted separately too though. They were absolutely fantastic. Gave me serious woodage.

  • I don't suppose anyone has the "it's the same day David!" ad...first time in years and years I've seen even part of it in that ad. Thanks for uploading that video :D

  • I have been telling my American husband about "It's the same day David!" for years - I would LOVE to show it to him!

  • I have never seen it, and can't find it ANYWHERE on the net, but I'm a big fan of road safety commercials so I really want to find it. PLEASE someone in NZ search your old VHS tapes and get one uploaded, you'll make a lot of people very happy I think.

  • Guess what. I found it. I'm going to convert and upload to my youtube page. I also have lots of other LTSA ones you might recognise. Check my videos :D

  • Thanks for putting that up.

  • Nicley done. The best ad of them all was the couple and the truck, you knew what happened after 9pm though. My father was a fireman for 12 years, and when he got home and was quiet, you knew there had been a bad accident.Forget the PC BS in NZ,and show them graphicly.Shock tactics work.

  • nicely done video & music to go with it. Just sucks we still need to make these ads to teach people not to drink n drive
