For me the ending is just right - a al Barenboim / Chicago Symphony. Except that with Barenboim the timpani ends its last roll with an emphatic tap just before the orchestra finishes the note. A small thing but a brilliant effect.

Noseda is a fantastic conductor. This is as good as I expected. His Schumann 4 is also amazing
