How can you make a pattern that uses more positions with the green/red leds (up to 8) what part of the manual talks about this ? I only can switch when i press KEYBOARD key but have no idea how to record step by step

in the basic menu(the one with pattern number/tempo/swing

you have pattern lenght that you can set to 8

then using the arrows over the 16 chicklets you can change which measure you edit with the said chicklets

IIRC green lights are the pattern you edit and the reds are the pattern the palyback head is at

when you use the keyboard mode, the same arrows change the octave and the green light indicates which octave you are in.

the manual, i don't have it handy but i guess pattern creation chapter

I hope so, i just got it a few days and i don't know a fuck about these things but i'm having fun and reading alot ... READING ALOT!!! i also try to figure out WTF you're doing with your fingers, it's great!

you should record all your learning, as sometimes the best stuff comes out when you don't know what you are doing

on the esx i almost always use my fingers to mute/solo parts, sometimes use the ribbon to do snare rolls(not really convincing yet) and sometimes tweak volume of a sound/pitch and cutoff on a dirty loop or 2 to create a transition

if i had money i'd ahve one, but i have priorities, like a real mixer, a real camera, after that i'll think about buying a virus (tabletop or rack)

Thanks for your answers, tell me, what does electribe SX owners do ? Do you delete all the patterns that are in memory ? or do you leave them in ? THEY ANNOY ME

i wiped the patterns 1st day i had it, i made myself some initialsed pattern with outs already assigned, basic sounds on the right spots, fx, etc then i saved this pattern to all 256 locations

Cool, do you use the build in samples or you use mostly your own ? I got some of the vengeance cd's

a few of the built in ones(the kick, 909 hats) but mostly i took from my librarie i built over the last 15 years, some DKFH snares, 909/808/linn samples, a feew breaks(classics and some i just like)

Maybe even two camcoders in thesame time and paraller picture on one screen...

if I was that wealthy...(i use the built in isight on my mac, if i could afford 3 HD cameras i would be really happy to produce really elaborately edited videos :)

(also fx-able, but the fx are crossing channels which negates the use of multi out altogether)

So you don't use the Tube Gain at all ?

never, it's actually sticked to zero with nail polish to make SURE i never accidently turn it on, cause plus being bad sounding, it makes the output 6-10 dB louder(come on korg, you could at least put a gain compensation circuit lol) and it clips as hell if you don't lower the volume

plus i use 4 mono outs, the 3-4 have no tube at

i use kick on 3 snare/claps on 4

hats/crash on 1 (fx-able) and

other sounds(be it percs/melodic loops) on out 2
