  • God I hated this video.

  • GREAT song by an underrated band.

  • You know, I've always liked this song. I should get the album.

  • This video is so genius in so many ways - one of the best videos EVER!

  • One of the best videos from the best decade of all - gotta love the 80's

  • Dwight ht #16 in Billboard, 4-21-84. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • Will somebody kick the record company who owns the rights to JUNGLE in the balls. This needs to be released to CD.

  • Ahhh... our local cable company's channel had a video show in 1984 and this is one of 4 songs they played all the time!! The others are Talk Talk (It's My Life), Duran Duran (Union of the Snake) and Tracey Ullman.

  • Good classic rock. Gotta love it.

  • This song is great. Reminds me of Porkys!!!!!

  • Featuring Tom Petty on backing vocals....represented by the straight haired blond toward the end of the video

  • This sounds like Mozart compared to what's on the radio today. This is pure power pop, man --- a great genre.

  • The 80's Were Pure Musical Dynamite!!! The Last Decade of Great Music!!!

  • HIt #2 rock, #16 pop in Bilboard. God bless!

  • Guys, keep your cussin' off YouTube. It doesn't belong here, not now, not ever. Anyway, good reprisal by Dwight of his '75 hit, "I'm on fire' Girls hit #16.

  • MTV used to show this a lot.

  • Wow, he was a bit cute, ha.

  • Great 80's tune. Video left a great impression on me in 1984 at the age of 12. Thanks for the memories.

  • why is tom petty a chick in this?

    great song.

  • Mikey, somebody just recently posted that video on here. Some of the guys in that video are 'without bottoms' too! ;-)

  • Yeah, i have that video - it was called "Sexy Shorts" in the UK. There were some great songs by acts i'd never heard of - and this was the first time i heard/saw "Girls" - thought it was great, and the video was awesome. I remember lolling so hard at that bit (in the R-Rated version) where the guys dance into the shower - as they enter, they remove their towels, all in perfect sync ... then along comes the unfit bloke who messes the dance up - just cracked me up.

  • this is awesome! What ever happened to this guy???

  • This Music Video takes my back to the early months of 1984!!!! Great Memories!!!

  • This Music Video takes my back to early 1984, very popular in the radio in KS-103 in San Diego CA.

  • ths video influenced my life. i 1st had it on (BETA) can u fuckin believe it! it was on a video i got at radioshack w tht putz beta player in 1985. fucked me up. i go to manila philippines 1x a yr + through some negotiations i was abl to see 2 girls together. i still see em every yr. the filipino guys are actually pretty cool abt it. we alw go out on my honda 200 +we seldom get fucked with. theyre pretty cool people there. nice to see this agn. was 20+ YRS sinc i saw this

  • 1984, in the fourth grade...I still remember this song when I first heard and video too. One of the better tunes from the 80's, a good one!

  • i have this on a vhs tape back in '05

  • Hey Bruce H.(from Elk River) How are you Happy Thanksgiving! I knew you would see this!

  • Anyone know if Dwight married his college girlfriend Linda (can't remember her last name)? The video for 'Girls' was a direct putdown of the snotty football jocks & cheerleaders that we had classes with at NEO A&M in Miami, OK, where in '71 Dwight stood out with his very long hair and usual black attire -- a much different look than the 'Golden Norsemen.' He even used NEO's school colors in the video. Very cool that he & Petty got together & great that we both ESCAPED NEO!

  • anyone happen to know if Dwight married his college girlfriend Linda? His song 'Girls' was a much-deserved putdown of the football jocks & cheerleaders with whom he went to college at NEO A&M. Even same school colors. I had several classes with Dwight & Linda and knew he was light years ahead of our many redneck classmates. In '71 Dwight wore his hair l-o-n-g and he pretty much always dressed in black ... rather early 'goth,' not the norm in northeast Oklahoma. Great that he & Petty

  • I had this record too but never saw the vid until now. Great song. It deserved a much better video than this corny crap. Oh well, good to hear it anyway.

  • Deeecraig, Paul Cowsill's sister Susan sings Back up vocals as well!

  • Tom Petty singing background vocals. Awesome. I used to have this '45 record. Damn I'm old!

  • Thank God for youtube! First time I've

    seen this vid. Dwight Twilley

is a great musician, I first saw him on

ABC. I went to school with his daughter

Dione, and none of us realized who her dad was

until the day we saw her and Dwight on Maury

Povich, around 1995 or so. It turns out Dwight

wrote a book about her called "Letters From Dad" I haven't seen

Dion in 9 years, but if she happens to read this:

"Jesse Roggio says hi, and look for me on myspace"

  • Yep-that is Paul Cowsill. Would never have noticed that. Thanks.

  • one of the best of the 80s

  • This guy shoulda been Bryan Adams or someone of that level, but well-two hits? 10 years apart? oh well.

  • Thanks for putting this one back up...Dwight's awesome and this is such a fun video! Note to Cowsill fans: yes, that's Paul. The best view is at ~1:15 when he's 3rd guy down at the lockers.
