Excellent review, bud. I've been lusting after Pendulums for a while now and you've answered a lot of questions I had. It's good to know what I'm paying for. Thanks, mate. Cheers.
Oooooh so I guess I'm champion. I'm thinking of getting an Agile like this for 700SGD, not sure if it's the same model, because the pickup was an actual DiMarzio and it had a volume and tone pot. Other than that it's exactly like this one. It felt great when I tried it, in fact way better than other 7-strings (Ibbys) I've tried. Tone had a pretty loose and pillowy low-end coming from the shop's test rig, though, but nothing some tone-hunting can't fix.
I appreciate this review a lot. I was having a lot of trouble finding a review for this guitar. I am about to buy an Agile Pendulum Pro 72527 with the NAT finish. Its installed with an ...SD Blackout pickup . I dont know a lot about guitars but i want to make sure that the one pickup will do?
@IcarusCinematics Most people love the black out. For metal tones, I never find I really need a neck pickup, just roll the volume down a little and it smooths up. Some people love neck pickups thought so it is all preference.
Great vid dude, just wanted to ask, can you use a regular set of strings across the whole guitar seeing as it is fan fretted or would you have to buy multiple gauges?
@PwoperFish88 I find the low E string is a little tighter than it used to be. I use a .46 (Ernie Ball) for the E and it feels like a .50. For the Low B I bought a single .69. Overall its not as big of a difference as you'd think.
Good review but I wish you would have played it!!

@urnnandape That would have scared everyone away from getting one! But in all seriousness, I may do this for the next review.

They dont sell it for 400$ anymore...Actually I dont think they even have a right hand version, but the left hand version goes for like 570$

@IcarusCinematics I don't really use a neck pickup, I just roll off the volume. As a general rule, if you think you want one, get one.

It kind of looks like the body is made out of plastic. The sheen might attribute to that.
Also at 6:50 you are showcasing the perfect form for sweeps. /sarcasm

I blame the finish, it looks a bit better in person.
Fun fact: that was the sweep shape was the into of Fade to Black.
