  • screw you all! Now I have to play the game again :P

  • Ah... That sucks.

  • Wha... Cid can survive? Man, this game was great: so many characters, each completely fleshed out, multiple outcomes... I lost Shadow but fortunately I realized "omg, he really is gone!" and I reloaded my save.

  • This is my favorite slow song of any Final Fantasy Game.

  • The next line is...

    >Oh, my hero

    >Fuck Kefka! I'ma ICE his insane clown ass!

  • True story: I named Celes Beatrx in my game.

  • @Aldonargo Y Beatrx instead of Beatrix?

  • @zidanetribal661 Beatrix wouldn't fit. Max characters was six.

  • @Aldonargo named her Rosa based on the white mage :3

  • Most of FFVII's soundtrack is just riffs on this game's music. You can hear it in many, many VII tracks. The Temple of Ancients theme, the Battle Square theme, the list goes on.

  • I knew there would be a reference to Aeris here. -_-

  • This is so pretty :) <3

  • this song makes me wanna do slow dance like waltz....

  • Who would win in a fight?

    Celes or General Beatrix?

  • @Charmolution Beatrix?! thats the queen of the netherlands!

Celes will beat her anytime.... even if you cast 'dark' and 'berserk' on her...

  • @Charmolution

Beatrix. Not that I'm bias or anything. I just think Stock Break>Ultima.

  • And I never even used Aeris much. ;/

  • It doesn't really matter who's theme sounds like who's, seeing as though they;'re both great games. Always a competition...Tsk...

Though I think it depends on what context. I mean in FFVII when Aeris dies and you have the scene with cloud, then the fight with Jenova with Aeris's theme instead of the normal Jenova soundtrack and then the rest of the scene with Cloud and the other members of your party mourning her before they have no choice but to move on. Meh, I found that emotional.

  • I hate to say it, but it annoys me slightly when people say Celes' aria sounds like Aeris' theme. I know FF7 is the most popular, but Celes' theme came before Aeris', and so it should be the other way around, as Aeris' is way too similar to Celes'. Both are good though, I still favor Celes' aria though.

  • in some parts, it sounds kinda similar to parts of aeris' theme

  • I noticed that too! Most likely some parts of Aeris' theme were taken from this piece.

  • :D most likely ^.^

  • sorry Kelly, but Celes has been Around longer than Aeris has. And better yet, Celes would woop Areis's arse anyday! Muwahahahahahaha

    Sorry i'm a Huge FF3(6) fan.

  • @localpendulum I don't see it as a competition. Did I say Aeris' theme was better? No, I just made a comparison. That's what I hate about some FF fans, they can't simply enjoy the games, they have to always say one is better and the others are shit.

Sorry, I'm just a FF fan in general.

  • Celes's theme is so amazing. I think she has the best and most emotional theme of the game (we all remember the cliff scene...). everyone has a great theme of his or her own!

  • The cliff scene was the best... Even though there were so many characters, it's cool how each theme song stands out on its own. Though Celes and Terra's themes are probably the most popular.

  • @PeyserConley

I like Rachel's theme the best.

  • The last few times I've played it, I haven't gotten the cliff scene I don't think. You're talking about when she jumps off and washes back up on the shore right? If you manage to save Cid, you don't get that part, because she doesn't get suicidal

  • That's right, if Cid survives, Celes doesn't jump off the cliff. Which kinda ruins the whole tragic island scene in my opinion.

  • So the old man dying and Celes trying to commit suicide is better than Cid surviving and Celes not becoming suicidal.....oh the irony....but yeah if Cid survives that section seems almost pointless and stupid

  • lol XD

    ur right

i still got 2 fish in my rare item list :)

  • @PeyserConley But you get the whole accomplished feeling of saving Cid's life, which is nice because Cid is awesome. :D

  • @BeanTheGreen I think the whole point of the sequence is that a player likely won't know to get the faster fish for Cid, making him die. The cliff scene is sad enough, but then the player goes on the Internet and finds out that it's possible to save Cid, meaning that Cid's death was literally HIS/HER fault.

  • @kingmagus Thats true
