hey you are pretty good! I dont care for the mantis head movement action but to each his own flavor and fun! I just wanted to say cool internal skill! if anyone says otherwise it is because they suck!
Also one advise, you might think about changing the name of this post, this form is way way way more like xiaojia than laojia. in fact it is 70% xiaojia patterns, and 90% xiaojia energy pathways. just a little more extension in the frame, I geuss this is what a xiaojia expert might call laojia.
floppy, just a demo for new years. i already know i need more practice, i put different vids up for contrast just like yours. it helps me to make clearer better practice... thanks for the comments... mike

please don't mind me being frank...but u are fuckin awful doing this form. obviously, u have yet ( perhaps ur teacher as well) grasp the true understanding of this form and its spirit. so please go in ur room and squeeze ur ballz until u faint. have a nice dick suckin day.
fly2dasky,this guy, who you think is awful is a high level skill master, acknowledged and respected by famous CMA masters in Beijing and Taiwan. He teaches international including other teachers and also the Chinese. Sifu Martello is one of the very few who masters "soft chi" power and can apply it in combat. His level of skill is hard to find even amongst the Chinese masters.
Mike, you are far too hard on yourself. That was simply breathtaking. Please keep the videos coming. I think it's human nature that we are never satisfied with where we are, what we possess, or what we have accomplished. I myself have only been practicing tai chi for a year and find my mind distracted. Anxious to study other arts such as Hsing I and Lok Hup Ba Fa before I have even scratched the surface of tai chi.
people also say it is human nature to have nocturnal emission if you dont masturbate. we are so ignorant its unbelievable. like nocturnal emission, how could it be 'human nature' to not be satisfied with where we are? what about a tree? is it in the tree's nature to not be satisfied with where it is? longing to uproot itself and move? no, the tree's true nature is to be completely satisfied with where it is. from this comment alone i realize that we humans have lost our true nature.
Baji (not Bagua) and Chen are. The answer you ask for is subjective by me, I try explain. External power is only one part of these styles essence, and without the correct guidance (for internal growth) one will grow the body, mind, spirit with the wrong intetions of proper inner attainment. I hope this helps, mike.
Chen and Bagua are both listed as soft styles in almost every source I've seen by leading Bagua and Chen instructors, so I don't really understand what you mean. Is English your first language? Just wondering as maybe it is a matter of how the word is use din different languages.
...I decided to quit, ..., lets say to retrain... Not forget just stop, I felt I was using wrong intentions and was being guided to the wrong idea of practice because I realized even the teachers were off in their approach... In a nutshell why,,, for me that is...
Yo Mike keep doing your thing brother , your form expression is YOU, don't matter what others think, they don't move your body , YOU DO! Nice form play. Anyway after reading your training experience post, good to see I am not along. LOL Keep it real Respect!
BT, Thanks for the support. I know you understand, of all people... I admitt I am still finding my way and center, and it will always be that way, it just gets better connected along the way.. I wish people would stop being papper tigers and haters. I am glad you can relate to my ranting...
...likewise, I am not affraid of critisms, as long as they are constructive, goes with putting oneself on the Web. Glad you like coming around, more to come... Mike
Thanks for the comments, yes I do meditate. Please understand I know I am still growing and learning, hence, I practice and refine myself everyday. I am my worst critic! I put vids out for people to see stages of growth, ...
partly i feel like the movement comes out of your breast, but anyway, you do the form. and you post it. you speak open-minded. so you do. really enjoy checking your account for new stuff. i do not know whether you do meditate but perhaps you could go for some :)
You sure need a whole lot more mental practices there shown in your video. Moving to fast, but you have your own pace so I guess that ok to a personal view. Your tai chi form is still to hard. What you should aim for is not soft either, not hard, and not between.
Well thanks for the insightfulness. I will be aware much more now of what I should and should not practice.
Judging by your insights and your age, I feel you are very good indeed, could you post a video response of your play so I could learn the mental practice I lack?
Taiwan and Mainland KF differ in so many ways... There is no one way correct of form and no matter how one looks, personal flavor is always present. If one follow shape of another the they don't understand what they learn at all, just shape playing. And whats different, I am curious? In ten more years it will look difderent again I am sure, my body will have sung even more...
Sure, everyone has his personal flavour and I definetly see your flavour in that form. Also it should be natural that this flavour will change over time, as it refelcts the persons views and much more, if nothing would change over 10 years, now that would be sad.
I already got info from Jochen and if I'm not in china at that time I will definetly be there.
what you wrote is very true. It fits perfectlyy on my own situation and I know on many others situation too! But as you said: only a few are honest enough to recognize the truth! Wish more of the MA folks would meet with you and exchange views and knowledge...
The clip is great, but not as half so impressive as the demo live!

I wouldn't say that. His Taiji is alright. If he was younger, I bet he could go lower.
Imporve on your posture, and keep that inner strength going thoughout the enitre form! Know each movement's application!
Be able to move past flailing your arms and legs around and actually doing the form.

I love your Xue Jia San Shou chips.
But for this one, you need to do more research on Chen Shi Tai Ji.

Very different in flavour from what laojia yilu I've seen so far. I like the "steps" that you do in some techniques.
Is this all how you learned it or is there a lot of you (not meant in a negative way) in it?
Hope we can meet again soon,
