I agree that most of the guys nowadays don't write their own music but let's not forget to mention guys like Kevin Fowler, Jason Boland, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Casey Donahew. I could go on for days. Just consider this Kevin Fowler released a song called "Long Line of Losers" about a year and a half ago. Now Montgomery Gentry bought it and put it on their cd. Texas Country!!! It beats the hell out of Nashville. And oh yeah sorry about the Rascal Flatts concert, that sucks man.

Uhhh, go look at the songs that Garth Brooks has written and tell me he's not a singer songwriter.. Some artist sing people's songs, a lot of song writers can't sing that's why they write. haha. george aint no phony hes as country as you can get. true country alot of artist get thier songs written for them, i would know my step mom used to wright for big artist. rascal flatts is a phony and a bitch, i had to go one of his concerts for my gfs birthday and it was the worst thing i could do to myself. get a radio station that plays real country such as justin moore, eric church, straight, hank jr, and hank williams and that would be a hit radio station for true country lovers.

George Strait is one of the biggest phonies in country music. Ever notice he doesn't play his guitar? Just has it there for looks. Doesn't write any of his own songs. Leeman1971 said it right. George has a decent voice but if he didn't get offered the great songs he's had written for him he'd be nothing.

I love Eric Church!!! Why the hell isn't he more popular??? His voice is soooo raw and I love it. I love when voices get kind of raspy you know? This tune is perfect for his voice. I wish he'd release some new songs. Him and Gretchen Wilson should come back and rock the country music radio before Taylor and Rascal Flatts destroy it.
