fun fact; human body is a huge chemical compound/mix. chemicals always have electrons in it, even in the elementary stage (but the ones in the body aren't elementary ofcourse). electricity is in fact made out of travelling electrons (positrons and negatrons). now what happens is; when you touch that line, the electron that is inside that line enters your body. but as there isn't much place to stay, another electron has to leave. and thats the one closest to the exit.

My cousin has a farm, and he as an electric fence. I've touched it before, it's not that bad. But one time I was talking to my Uncle there, and it was windy so I put my hand on his shoulder to pull him in closer to talk to him, when my cousin grabbed my other arm, then grabbed the fence. It hurt a lot worse than when I touched it myself.
