One of the reasons Mr. Show was so good is they knew when to end a sketch most of the time. Most of the time was SNL or Mad TV has a sketch that's halfway decent they run it about 2 minutes too long. So it just gets tedious and "I fucking get it, now please move on."

Mad TV was good for the 1st and second seasons then they got rid of the good cast and it went to shit. The only one that actually came out of it fine is Alex Borenstien (I think thats how its spelled) She does the voice for Lois Griffin on Family Guy.
